I'm was going to order a liftback but I could not find one around in stick to drive. I did drive it in auto and it was just ok....good for driving Miss Daisy!
I was able to find a manual sedan to drive today....now that was fun. I'm assuming its kind of similar to the liftback in acelerating shifting through the gears.
Am I assuming right?

i would imagine it to be but considering the overall design of the vehicle is completely different i would imagine both vehicles to handle differently. I would expect a hatchback to be a little more tighter around curves than a sedan but i could be wrong since i haven't driven one yet...

I was only able to drive a sedan with A/T before saying YES to a loaded Liftback with stick that had just arrived in port. (Portland, OR - a few miles down the road - is a major TOYOTA off-load point.)
I judged the sedan to be acceptable, so knew that a stick-shift LB would be VERY accetable. I wasn't dissapointed.
Wife has even lost interest in the new 2006 4Runner Sport V8 I bought to replace her beloved '97 stick-shift Ford Explorer! She would rather drive "Yari", as she call him, than the 4Runner. (Actually, we are lucky the 4Runner is just used to tow our small trailer or to transport guests.)
