Megan Muffler

I have installed the Megan racing rear muffler and I have to say it sounds great, not too loud, no annoying resonance at hi-way speeds. Overall I'm very impressed from a company that is known for so-so product. :smile:

ahh thank you... im getting mine on the 17th from ups... was going to make a DIY if it sounded like crap or was to loud iw as gonna sell it and go 2" with high flow cats....

I run a tuner shop inside a Toyota dealership, we usually deal higher end exhaust like Greddy, HKS, etc so I naturally took a lot of flack for the Megan purchase. Ive purchased a new home and am moving into British Columbia Canada so I was feeling cheap, but Im really impressed with the sound. The overall quality is about a 7 out of 10. There is a small inner lip and a smaller diameter pipe inside the bigger straight through pipe that deadens the sound.

I guess you could call it an internal silencer, you cannot take it out, its permanent. If there is enough interest I may be able to get a group buy going!

sound much better than the ZPI .. not too loud but whats is ur feeling about it.. very loud at high rpm? have problem with cops here..

well most of the cops know me... so i have not gotten fed with since ive been driveing but i had my friend drive it around the block... very nice sound.. ill try to get a video of that also later tonight when where at wendy's and f around

Im very picky about the looks of all the aftermarket systems thus far.. I dont want to "see" it.. only hear it. Thanks for the clip, but so far the Vitz muffler is still tops on my list.

i took a video of my taking off the stock axle-back should i post as a vid diy? only half tho could not find a nice place to prop the cam nor did i have anyone by me to tape me putting the megan on

looks fine, sounds ok but maybe a bit loud for me, I'll have to think this one over

maybe the sound quality isn't so realistic because the mic is so close to the car, the price can't be beat

It looks good - thats how tanabe should have mounted their medallion muffler rather than putting under there vertically, which looks ridiculous. I still wont bring myself to buying a Megan product though.

this sounds/looks just like the new TRD IMO, maybe a bit lower but it could just be the mic.

I have the TI-C with Tanabe DF's, I've gone over some serious speed bumps and drive it all over the place - you would have to run over something pretty serious to scrape it. I've never so much as nicked it.

Ive Tried to find a decent shop around here that would be able to do the work for a sharp price, but all I find is those shops that have limited selection and semi-quality work. They want 300 bucks to install a coffee can muffler with no cat.

Even with bringing my own muffler they want 175 bucks to install...rip.
