How easy was the install? Does it come with basic instructions? I'm not a complete idiot but I've never done anything like this. I'm planning on ordering mine this week.

Well my intake finally came today and when I opened the box...no instructions. WTF? I have no idea what I'm doing! I just took it out to the car and figured it out fairly easy. Sounds great. I have 1/2 a tank of gas in it now which I am going to screw the mileage and let it sing until it's empty and them I'm going back to being a good boy and see if it helps the mileage.

Way cool Nigal. I'm sure you'll have fun with this. I'm very interested in the MPG...once you decide to demonstrate self control again. Until then...Let her Rock!!!:headbang:

i would scrap their filter...I used one of their intakes on one of my last cars, a 05 cavalier with a 2.2l ecotec engine. i put the intake on when the car had just 3k miles. by 10k miles there was so much carbon build up in the engine it wouldnt start in the morning.

has weapon R improved their products? not only was the foam on the filter allowing tons of dirt to get into the engine, the intake hit the hood, the first time i power shifted, it put a nickel sized dent in the hood of my brand new car. i was not happy. also, it ran right next to the battery, i had to shield the battery terminals because the intake was grounding out and arc'ing to the positive battery terminal.

the welds look good on that and its out of the way of obstructions from what I can see, looks like maybe they fixed the quality of their products.

What's the difference between this one and the Weapon-R Secret Weapon for $182?

The filter seems pretty dense as if it wouldn't let much past it. I was under the impression that you install them pointing downward where the air may be a few degrees cooler. Once you take that big black box out there's loads of room for it.

Looks like the filter is different. Oh and about $80.
