I traded in the Yaris yesterday. The first place I took it to only offered $8500. I told them I was insulted and left. I ended up getting $10,500 for it. IMO that was a great deal considering you can find them brand new with an auto trans for $11,999 around here. I bought it when it was still extremely rare to see one on the road. I think I paid $12,300 for it (stickered at $12,560)

Kelley blue book has it valued at $11,600 but thats insane.

So what did you get? Did you just get bored with Yaris?

Good deal on the trade in I guess but I wanna drive mine in the ground.Nothing left to trade in when I'm through.

upon further review of the paperwork I ended up getting 10,700 for the Yaris.

I was a bit bored with it and I needed a little more trunk room.

I ended up getting a real good deal on a new Mustang.

Well, a new Mustang would only give you a little more trunk room. So... it must have been mostly boredom(?).

Not true. The Mustang probably has 4x the useable trunk space as the Yaris.
It was just one of the few considerations I made when looking for a new car.

Did you get a V6 or a V8? Heads up! You will not get that kind of trade in value retention on a Ford. You are now officially married to a car. Congratulations!

v6

LOFL at the thought that any domestic will hold its value.

I am not a Ford guy but all of the sudden I own 2 of them.

The v6 Mustang is an interesting car. It has no real competitors. It can be pretty quick for not much cash outlay and it looks great.

the re-designed mustang is a definitley a nice looking car, after 30 yrs of ugly mustangs, they finally got it right (again).

too much fuel expenditure for me though.

Thats rated worse than my WRX, and I get 17mpg (20mpg if I drive alot of highways). But I only spend $45/2 weeks on gas so its not bad.

My Liberty was rated 17/22, and I got 13mpg combined...

After having the yaris after 2 weeks, anything below 30 mpg is bad!!

If you had a liftback then I can see why on the true trunk space....if the sedan I think that it has plenty of room for a car its size...to each their own. As for the Mustang, good luck to you...I have owned a few and only my 66 was worth a damn...the rest rusted and always had oil issues.....and oh yeah....I hate how poorly Ford is grounded....drives me Nuckin Futz with my wife's Freestar.

LOOL

I just checked the dealers site and they are asking $13,995 for it. Mind you that it stickered at $12,560. I did install power locks and an alarm though.
