Some woman backed into my Yaris . She is an insurance agent . This is gonna be interesting . She ruined my left rear panel . Looks like I will be getting new TRD shocks and some new Pilots and a paint job . The officer said it is her responsibility to watch where she is driving , especially in reverse . I get the feeling I'm gonna get sued . The officer said he would go to bat for me in court .
THANK YOU SIR

Sorry to hear about that. Such a pain when you get the car banged up!
Well, someone drove into the back of my Yaris the other day... and he had no drivers licence, no insurance, and no job... illegal alien. Shit!

Like my man Bill said "I feel your pain" I have to drive a Versa... an automatic Versa . I have never driven an auto before . I'm thinkin I'm gonna smack my head on the steering a few times before I figure out there is no clutch . I guess you peeps are my Yaris support group . Now I have to postpone my Magazine article ....Where the fuck is my BEER . Oh Yeah , I'm in South Carolina , no beer on Sunday . You can screw a hot chick in church on Sunday , but no beer ................
Please excuse my rant , but now I'm Yarisless and I'm going into DT's
Thanks everyone in advance

Ahhhh yes, No beer on Sundays. I remember that. Just got to go to the 3 red dots the day before and stock up. I learned that the first week I was there. I lived in Columbia/SandHill for 8 months, thought I was homesick, came back to Massachusetts and now I want to come back to SC. Such a comfortable life and pace.
Good luck with your situation.

WTF is up with the Yarii smashing lately? I had noticed that people seem to have a hard time seeing me, but I thought it was because my car is black...

HTM - How the hell can she sue you and expect anything out of it? Get your insurance to pay for the work. If hers does, the work could be substandard.
K-K - So if I'm an illegal alien it's kinda like having a blank check to do whatever with no consequences? Great! (sarcastic)
When will body panels start being made of foam rubber?

There are actually a disturbing number of people driving around without insurance, regardless of their immigration status. That's why you pay every month for "uninsured/underinsured motorist" coverage.
(And let's nip the vitriol in the bud, okay? This isn't a political forum, so take your xenophobia elsewhere.)

Ooops! That was directed at post #2. Sorry kurokoma-kun.
And all I'm saying is that there seems to be no accountability for the accident if the person is here illegally, no insurance, license, etc... I would be FUCKIN FURIOUS! What do you do?

Well, I don't want to get into a discussion about illegals, but you're absolutely right about no accountability on his part for the accident... HE hit ME from behind and I was left arguing with my insurance company, and now I'm facing increased premiums. Meanwhile, the police sited him for driving without a licence, then let him drive away! WTF!!!

That's ok, I understand, irresponsible drivers piss me off too!
The lady who was my boss at previous job got creamed by an uninsured driver last winter. The guy tried to get away but someone blocked him with their car. So then he had to face up to what he'd done, but instead started bitching about he was "just a working man" and could not afford insurance, then begged her to not file a claim, just let him pay her--as if!! Turned out he was not only uninsured but his license had been revoked for multiple DUI!
Let's be careful out there people, there are too many nuts loose on too many steering wheels!!

People make up stupid excuses for not having insurance. I'm a working person too and I don't make that much but I still put enough aside to pay for my insurance. What's sadder are people who decided to drink and drive. And yes, they're the ones who decided to get into their car and drive while they are stumbling around drunk. argh.

Make that 8. I was rear ended last week. It caused a small ding near the centre of the bumper, but it felt a lot worst then it looks.
Both cars was waiting to make a right turn, the guy behind me thought I had already cleared the intersection while looking the other way for on-coming traffic. (In Canada, is OK to make a right turn on a red light and some people don't pay attention to what's directly in front of them since they're busy making sure the way is clear). I did the same mistake several time when I was a newbie driver, but luckily, I was quick enough to stop before rear ending the guy in front of me. Anyways, the damage didn't seem bad and the guy seem like the family sort with a little daughter in the MiniVAn. So, I let him off the hook. Just another battle scar to add to myriad of other dings and scratches on my Yaris.

I've done that once myself when I was 16. I had just finished christmas shopping so I was really really tired and wanted to go home. And I thought the person had gone cuz they pulled up and kept going but nope they stopped. Thankfully, it didn't cause any damage and since they were in such good holiday spirits, they dind't report it to insurance or anything. just told me merry christmas.

Someone barely tapped the rear of my honda 600 coupe years ago. Thought nothing of it till the next day....went to fold the rear seat down and found the whole body was warped, couldn't tell it from the outside looks but the car must have lost almost 1/2" in length, seats never folded all the way again! Of couse nothing is made quite that light anymore....except maybe the Smart!

I came close to an accident yesterday, I was going to turn into a narrow side road which requires me to cut across the incoming traffic lane. There was a car waiting to come out of that side road, and which was in my way. The incoming lane was clear, so that guy should have pulled away in time for me to get through, so I was not paying attention to him, and started across the road, but he was still there, and I was sideways across the traffic lane, with a truck coming at a pretty high speed! Luckily the idiot then moved out of the way, and I managed to squeeze past unharmed.
Oh and I did suffer some slight damage to my side mirror, some idiot was parked on the side of the road where parking is not allowed (a pretty common occurence here, but nevermind), and due to heavy traffic on the next lane I could barely merge in time, and barely knocked his mirror with mine. I'm using the LED side mirrors, and the lens part is now sunken in, I think the clips on the inside broke, but it's probably nothing that some superglue can't fix

Yep, got to watch out for the slow pokes. It's a good thing the Yaris is such a tiny car and has mirror that fold in and out. One time, while I was parked on the right, a Taxi that was zooming-by, between lanes, nipped the side view mirror, but it made a loud noise since dum-ass in the cab should have slowed down when making such a tight manuever. Anyways, no damage, the side mirrors just folded out and snapped back. If it was any other car, it'd have probably ripped the entire mirror out. I got out of the car to inspect the damage. The guy in the Cab car took-off.
It's a good thing that modern cars are much more crash worthy then the tin-cans of old. I had a Jackson Racing kit with a serious offset that caused the tires to stick out from the wheel wells. I used to love doing U-turn in that car without slowing down, until one day, I sheared the body from the chassis. Luckly, my uncle who was a professional welder was able to weld it back for me.

I tapped a car once when I thought they had gone through the light but didn't. I'll never forget it. It involved me and my little blue 1988 Civic and her (Mrs. Pilkington, I'll never forget that name) Piece O' Shit Cadillac Cimmaron (Chevy Cavalier, what an awesome piece of machinery). The COPS came and he asked her if she was OK and she said the back of her head hurt. (she was trying to get whiplash money because she was like 4.5 feet tall and her head was not even tall enough to reach the headrest.) The COP said, "So no one is hurt then." She said "My rights are being violated" (I shit you not) I laughed until I could barely move. I got a small ticket, paid it, and that was that. There was no damage to either car.

You are correct with that definition. However, adamschneider is comparing anti-illegal immigrants with racists (inferring that we don't want them here just because they are Mexican). This is far from the truth- we don't want the illegals here because they are illegal, and there is no "fear of anything illegal" in the definition of xenophobia. I have no problem with anyone that comes here legally, pays taxes and contributes in a non-criminal way to our country.
Just had to clear that up- now back on topic!

Just got back from the Dragon .....AGAIN  Well , I just found out that they did an investigation , and I was cleared of any wrong doing . Imagine that :eyebulge: Well now Coryn is in the body shop and we are haggling over what needs to be fixed . I mentioned my last clash with Nationwide . The fact that they screwed me over a shock absorber . I presented the bill for the TRD's and stated that they (TRD's) can't be bought seperately . The bodyshop said "Yes Sir" . Nationwide said thats not true . I said look all you want , but you will buy me new TRD's or there won't be a Nationwide any longer . It will be HTM YARISWIDE insurance . :headbang:
On a seperate note , wait till the rental company sees what I did to their tires . Who knew that Mazda 3 could pwned a porsche cayman and a few Mustang GT's . Hey , at least I took the hubcaps off first . But then again maybe they won't notice .
You bet I will post pics later this week

You, personally, may be entirely sincere in that statement -- but I find it hard to believe that the anti-immigrant sentiment floating around these days would be quite so passionate if the illegals were coming from, say, Belgium. You're kidding yourself if you think racism has nothing to do with it.
