Is this site dead? Does it need a moderator to clean up the spam?

Hey, who is the admin/mod here?

I see non stop spam on all of the threads here. Is there not a mod that is availible to kick ban spam bots?

Even if we had active admins and moderators, the battle against these temu bots is futile. It is a plague being experienced by many forums around the globe. These bots are able to circumvent practically every measure put in place to block them. Cyber Whack-a-Mole in which the bot always wins.

Well have you tried the following ? Just simply not allow automatic posting from unverified accounts. Capcha to create an accounts, block certain key phrases and/or just have posts as needing mod review for new accounts? And even only allow those who are known to be human to post?

But once again, just putting it out there, if there is simply a lack of mods, I can volunteer my time.

I'm just a regular member. Our last active moderator "resigned" ages ago and the administrator hasn't given a damn in years. This situation will be the death blow for the site.

Also I see a security flaw, I clicked to log in and it gave me an HTTP instead of HTTPS, I had to click something else to get to the HTTPS login.
