I'm putting a powered sub under the passenger seat, and I know a few of you have done the same. Where is the best place to ground for this install?
Thanks!

wherever you ground, make sure its to bare metal, just use a dremal clear a spot of paint, and use self tapping screws...

Should you ask your potential passengers first? That could be an experience. (do we have Sherry's attention yet?) I had a girlfriend who could only take short drives on the back of the Harley cause of the vibrations. She'd needed a cigarette and a nap after about an hour. Anything longer then she needed an ice pack. To much of a good thing I suppose.

she didnt like the vibrations b/t her legs eh?

When I get around to installing my audio system (meaning, when I have the money) I will be mounting my sub under my seat. Or not. Under one of the seats for sure.

I still think fiberglass boxes in the rear 1/4's over the taillight cover would be ideal for this car

Don't use self tapping screws into your floor. There are four solid grounds holding your seat in place and a smaller ground holding your center console (in the rear cup holder).

I would LOVE to gut out the backseat and put a figerglass concoction in the back. One day it will be mine, oh yes...one day.

I am late repling to this but I always took sand paper to the bolts that hold down my seat and ran a o ring connector over it and put the seat back.

As long as the metal is bear and it is attached securely it should work fine.
With the sub mounted underneath the back seat, aren't you preventing alot of the sound from coming through?

I wouldn't really bother with one of those powered subs.. I had a Kenwood KSC-SW10 in my '07 and though it did add some bass, it wasn't enough (and I'm one of those that hate having alot of bass). I'd buy one of those stealth sub. boxes that fit in the spare tire along with a shallow mount Pioneer sub..
