Coolant Light

Is it normal for the coolant light to stay on longer than usual when you first start the car up while its cold.Mine stays on for about 2 min or so,I called the dealership they said it is normal .Is this true or they just:bs:

Yes it's normal, The colder it is outside, the longer the motor takes to warm up.

yes normal - there no temp gauge on the yaris just a light to tell you whether it is cold or hot.
If there was a gauge the needle would sit at the bottom for a couple of minutes on a cold engine and slowly move to the middle wouldn't it? - wish the yaris had one though....
