I just noticed this, the sound in the rear is half the voulume in the front. I got the stock 6cd Changer unit.

Is this normal?

Is it because I have a LB and the speakers are in the side panels, so it's to insure people who are sitting in the back don't there ears blasted?

Is there a way to fix it that the sound is even between the front and the back? (tried the fad already)

the speakers in the back are just about half the size of the ones in the front...if u convert the back speakers from a 5"1/4 to a 6.5" then u most likely will get a louder sound... changing that head unit to an aftermarket helps alot tho.... from like 13 watts per speaker to 40-50 watts per....speaker...

thanks for the reply.

The stock unit is good enough for me. It's just that the sound is uneven.

I find it stupid that the 5 1/4" in the back can't have the same power as the front. I guess I will have to find some stock 6.5" to put into the back.

The Alpine SPR-17C 6.5's are a good mix of less expensive and good sounding . . . and they come with mounting rings that work with the tiny ass holes in the back of the Yaris Hatch. Just gotta Dremel the Rings because they are for Many Different Cars . . .
