The Yaris Liftback Sport features several exterior enhancements, including color-keyed front and rear under-bumper spoilers and side rocker panels, and is equipped with standard features such as driver and front passenger sport seats, leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, tachometer with amber illumination

:frown: damn, well who wishes they waited for the sport edition?

*edit* actually the msrp for the LB sport is like a 1000 bucks more, and you know they're not going to sell at msrp so i think i'm pretty satisfied with my LB considering i only paid 10.2k (including the downpayment)

theres always all those nice aftermarket body kits :]

I like my 07, Sure I would like an S model, but I wouldnt pay a grand for it. Now I might if it was a 4 door with HID's and a turbo.

I like the side skirts but the rest of the kit is really ugly to me, I'd like to see the sport seats but i can't imagine they sit any lower and that is all I really want, the rest I can/have done myself

any word on the suspension, I can't believe they would label it "sport" and it doesn't have a suspension and or engine upgrade, but i guess it's like that time VW labled all those golfs as GTI's:laugh:

I'll most likely buy an '08 Sport. I'd rather have the tach, sport seats, and leather steering wheel. Hopefully it's a bit fatter/chunkier than the normal version, too. I want to see more pics, though.

as nice as it would be, it doesn't list the price for sport liftback auto transmission... and I really would like to know the price if it's there

I would rather have the sport model as well. Looks likes the premium on the sport model is $1,675.

With all the options, the Yaris Sport will we priced around $16,000. That's a lot of money for a Yaris.

yea but are you willing to pay around an extra 3000 for a tach, shift knob, maybe a different seat or somethign i'm not sure and a basic lip kit?

you could buy a MUCH much better looking body kit imo for alot cheaper or just about the same amount (japanparts.com). You could do all those mods to your yaris for alot less than what they're probably asking for it.

well i wonder how it will look like w/ speed gauge and tach together...
Im happy w/ a stock Yaris and choosing my OWN tach, leather steering wheel cover, and side skirts of MY choice rather than the slim/slender ones found on Toyota vehicles through factory installed~

Sure, if the Yaris got a boost for hp like the Corolla XRS version did...than I would trade mine in right now and get the sport LB for sure ^_^

Guys, for pictures, these descriptions sound a lot like the same interior as the current Canadian RS version (orange-lit tach, sport seats and leather steering wheel), though only time will tell if it comes with the glossy black center console or not.

Good things come to those who wait, right?

The cluster can be swapped, and I have my eye on a much nicer lip kit

This really looks like the canadian RS version! Here the RS version cost a lot more than the lower grade version, about 2800$ more ... including taxes and interest it's easily a 3600$ more ...

that is for:

- side skirts + wing, fogs, alloys, ABS and EBD, 6CD in dash, glossy black console finish, amber cluster, color matching mirrors, leather shift knob and steering wheel, sport seats, 60-40 folding/sliding back seats.

The only option is B-group : AC, power window, keyless entry (1200$)

For the other questions:

My guess is that the cruise control will never come, I have the one sold here by Toyota ( made by Rostra ) and it works very well! (and a breeze to install, not like the keyless entry...)

From what I see, some of you don't a tach ?? Here in Canada every Yaris has a tach in the cluster.

Small ground effects package for the exterior.

Tach, leather-wrapped steering wheel/shift knob, and sport seats for the interior.

sherryberry
08-03-2007, 11:41 AM
there is a difference to me. It does look a little more "sporty" it looks slightly longer because of the design. My current yaris looks a lot more rounded..

although the new '08 still has that UGLY antenna
