No Koi- the system isn't quite big enough for those monsters. The first Koi needs at least 1000 gallons- 200 per additional. My system is only 530 gallons.
A pair of goldfish will be moving in on the 6th.

Did you use a liner or one of those plastic pool forms?

Yeah, the shade provided by the maples is quite nice- I expect no algae blooms whatsoever. I'd gladly trade green water for the hassle of netting out leaves and seeds every day.
I haven't given much thought to plants in the pond as of yet. I might snatch up some local water lillies.
Neither a liner nor a form- I used sheets of roofing rubber. The largest section measured 15x10'.

About 2 months, on and off. Had there been no delays with materials and I worked straight through to completion, about 2 weeks. Well worth the wait, as far as I'm concerned.
It makes me wanna sit on the edge and smoke a jay. :smoking:
