I was almost GONE!

Recently went to work for local phone co. so I'm getting a new broadband connection (6mbps). Tried tonight to connect & lost EVERYTHING. Had to restore to a "happier time" and reset the router... so I managed to reconnect to the old 1.5mbps but for a while there I was literally shaking. Imagine, the weekend without the net? I'd have to get a life!:eek:

i slightly remember porn on dial-up....i ended up most times getting wrist fatigue waiting for the pic to get halfway loaded and look at the bottom pissed off seeing "Done".

A friend of mine was big on the old BBS's before the Internet. He said it could take an entire day to download a single picture, and you had no idea what it was going to look like... all text based, so no thumbnails. Hard to imagine!

so today comcast came but my bf missed him.. he didn't hear him ring the doorbell at all (i hope he didn't just knock cuz he can't hear anything if the just knock since he's in the basement). And he had the wrong phone number so no internet for tonight :frown: trying to get it for tomorrow.
