Hey guys

I bought an Alpine CDE-9871R headunit and managed to get it installed and working but came across a few annoying problems.

This picture shows the connections to the stock Toyota head unit (tape recorder).
Could anyone please tell me what the connection to the far right is? I couldnt find anywhere to plug it in, but I suspect its the connection for the door speakers since my door speakers are not working.

If I am right about this being the connection for the door speakers, then any suggestions to how I get the door speakers working?

I did buy the Toyota harness, but you can only plug the 2 middle connections to it.
There is nowhere to connect the far right connection, and since my door speakers werent working I assumed it was the door speaker connection.

nope, they should be working that plug with 2 wires isn't for the speakers...

has someone messed with your stereo in the past, reason i ask it looks like someone used brown box tape to wrap wires???

open a door panel, and see what colour wires goto your speakers...

The last remaining plug is for the Aux port from the factory radio, so in the instance that you really want to go DIY you could find a way to wire it up to still work to your new deck...if you are a brave soul and the new deck does have an Aux port from the rear.
