You posted this just because I'm getting a Mustang instead of a Yaris, didn't you?
Interesting that they're recalling a bunch of vehicles that haven't had any problems, just to be safe. I guess that's a good thing! That CC module has been a known hazard in their trucks for years.

As a former Volvo owner Im so glad to hear of rumors Ford is dumping them.
Rollovers, fires, 'quality is job 1'....FORD covers it all!
At least theyre not Chrysler (hiring the pompous CEO idiot Nardelli that just ran Home Depot into the ground)
And people wonder why the Japanese OWN the automotive industry.

Every car company has it's recalls, even Toyota. I don't see a problem with a company doing a preemptive recall...
But the reason we all bought a Yaris was for the Toyota quality...http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smilies/outfitted/conicalhat.gif

But what they don't tell you is....

Just something I remember reading awhile back. Everyone has problems. Some just get reported louder than others.

Can't dispute these figures, cause I don't know. From my personal experience, and what I see from freinds vehicles, is that Toyota's vehicles run many more miles with less repairs than any American (US) vehicles. Maybe I'm biased but it seems to me the loudest people against Japanese vehicles tend to have owned very few, if any Japanese vehicles (Daewoo and Kia are not Japanese!!).

Don't dispute me, dispute the National Transportation Safety Board. I didn't put it here to have someone dispute or debate me. I don't really care one way or the other.I tossed it out there for discussion. I'm not saying anyone is better than the next. It looks like a pretty equal playing field and owners will defend thier vehicles against others with a majority of bias.
Your baseball team may be the best team in the world to YOU but the fan in the next state over will disagree and tell you they suck a flying fig newton.
It's again another debate that can never be won. I've owned different makes and models and have had problems and I have jumped ship from brand loyalty but not because I was pissed off with poor quality. I like to drive and in order to drive the next thing that catches my eye, I get it, try it and then move on.
