My 2 week old 3r just lost it's taillamps, parkers and lic place lights. They are all fine (not blown) and the headlamps/stoplamps work fine. I'm checked the fuses and they seem to be not be blown either. The 'taillamp on' dash light doesn't turn on and the dash doesn't dim/radio and HVAC lights don't come on anymore.

Taking it into toyota after class tonite for a first service and to get it checked out. Anyone have any ideas in the meantime?

TIA

I did, but nothing happens until I turn it further to the headlamps on position, in which case; the headlamps turn on... But the tails/plate light/dash light doesn't. Indicators/reverse light works fine and the car drives as usual with brake lights working fine. No rear fog light either...

sounds like faulty wiring somewhere, your dealership should be able to work it out...

OK, dealer got it all sussed when I took it in for it's first service. Turned out it was another blown fuse that somehow affected it; but wasn't the actual 'tail/parkers/dash' fuse, and I didn't check all the 30-odd fuses. Turned out to be free too (service and diagnosis). Props to Cornes Toyota Unley for slotting me in. :)

/thread I 'spose...

Are you sure it wasn't one of the larger fuses under the hood, rather then the ones under the dash?

Nice car BTW, can you post up some pics?

They said it was one of the 10A fuses in the interior fusebox... *shrug*

For more detail on the pinstriping, I started another thread not too long ago;

if the fuse is ok before you bring it in.. always try disconnecting your battery for about 5 minutes.. system reset..might fix the problem..

The fuse blew for a reason. Did they find the reason? The fuse is there to protect the wiring. For some reason too much currect went through that circuit. Chris
