now before anyone jumps to conclusions, no the engine did not blow up. In fact I had 12k miles on the kit with no engine problems or anything. However the weekend after july 4th I was in Atlanta for the holidays coming home from a bar around 230 in the morning, when an suv ran a red light and mollywopped us at about 50mph +. Everyone is still alive thankfully, the suv actually wound up rolling over and my friend and I were both knocked unconscious. My friend and I both suffered some head injuries and nonsense like that. Anyways here are the pictures of the two vehicles, sorry for the bad pics they were takin with my cell phone and 1/2 conscious.

Anyways, I will still offer help to the community as best I can so if you guys have any questions or need anything please let me know. I still have the extra engine, that is torn completely down, as well as the intake manifold and throttle body that I never got to test out.

That sucks.. I am glad you and your friend are okay. Talk about close encounters of the worst kind.

Will you be buying another?

hopefully you are ok... will you buy another yaris? dealing with the insurance run around is almost as much fun as getting hit by an suv at 50+ ...

edit: srry for the repeated question... our posts were too close together for me to see it...

yea being in and outta the hospital and all is no fun, but i was off work for a couple weeks so that wasnt bad. I'm still waiting to see how much of my modifications the insurance will cover, so we will see on that front. Initially, because of the worst month of my life (starting with the accident), I can't afford at present to buy another yaris. If things turn around, it is still on my list of next possible cars. but like i mentioned, any knowledge I can offer or help with someone wanting a fast or modified yaris please just let me know.

Oh man that really sucks! I'm glad you and your friend are OK, that's what really matters, in the end.

Too bad about the car, I was sure it would end up being the first car from here featured in a big magazine. I hope the insurance can work out a good deal for you, and that things get better...

Glad you're OK. I'm still recovering from my own accident, although I'm almost 100%.
I hope your luck turns around and you get better soon!
BTW, did your airbags deploy on both sides? Mine didn't, although it wasn't half as bad as your accident.

PAY YOUR DEDUCTIBLE! USE YOUR INSURANCE! Then your insurance will get the money from their insurance. Otherwise their insurance will whittle down your claim and deny a stuff they don't want to cover.

I know from getting screwed once by using their insurance because I didn't want to pay the $500.00 deductible, which you will get back eventually.

Let the insurance companies battle it out!
