found that and just thought i would share but iono if it'd look nice on a yaris so some photoshop people can you please put it on a yaris? thanks hehe

EDIT: They only had one set of 16x7 with a 40 offset and one set of 15x7 with a 40 offset. I bought the 15x7 with 40 offset so there's still ONE set of 16x7s left for anyone who wants them!!!! dude said that rota rarely does colored rims and if some1 wants them colored they take 2-3 months to get them and then a little longer to make them and sell them. so they're going to be rare rims i'm guessing

I think they would look great in blue on your Yaris! But, what is the offset?

Thirty-Nine

What the hell is "Honda Looking?"

Well, some wheels are typically seen on Honda, or Toyota, Nissans, etc. These are Mugen knock-offs, and Mugen is Honda's in-house tuner, hence why you don't see a lot of other brand with these style of wheels. However, if it looks good and you like 'em, then who cares, right?

RShatchback
08-08-2007, 04:35 PM
If you like them - then just get them, who cares if someone thinks they are "rice" The word is so subjective anyway. What one person thinks is "rice" may be different than someone else. If you go about putting performance parts and rims on a yaris - your guaranteed to be called rice by someone, no matter how clean - everyone has an opinion and on your car YOURS is the only one that matters.

Rota has nicer rims than that.

brickhardmeat
08-08-2007, 06:06 PM
better? I bought what I wanted what could be better than that?

everyone has a different taste and style, yawn

I got them because I liked them, I didn't bother asking what anyone else thought about them before I made the purchase, however purchasing rota wheels in general is a big "no no" to some because they are knockoffs, yawn

who cares

sherry,

seriously, why do I bother:confused:

after pulling a few strings here's the result. 15x7 with 40 offset
had to give back the div3 cuz i'd be too pressured with owning a set of those. I might be able to use them for shows though if he lets me ^^ but for now these are my rims. Now to stretch them old stocker tires onto these =P

brickhardmeat
08-08-2007, 07:48 PM
NO!!!!!

please don't stretch those bridgestone potenza tires on there, grab a set of 205/50/15 and drop those coilovers all the way:thumbsup:

grab some falkens anything but don't put the stock tires on these, please

just keep the stock wheels for a spare set:thumbup:

the wheels look great and I prefer the 15 inch size for this wheel

by the way you will want some spacers in the rear

yrsdrgn
08-08-2007, 07:51 PM
don't stretch the potenza tires? ok ok. ahha my car is lowered on cusco compact-s coilovers =P and you recommend 205/50/15 for them eh? alright i'll go with you on that one

not sure if you wanna go with 205's if you want more of a grip on the road, i would say some wider tires like 215s and that would help protect the lip from any curb rash also, if your gonna lower it some more, 50s might rub just a lil bit, minus well go with some 45s, a lil lower profile and in my opinion it's feels more stable and not so wavey from side to side

good luck finding them in that size, I have seen them but not for sale, I was told by jlb that the only colors available right now are polished or black with polished lip and they only sell the 15 inch size (my preference)

these guys have 16 inch jmag in polished, red or gold

They told me that they only have 15s and 16s so I don't think they can get them in 17s but you can try e-mailing them. They are fast in responding to e-mails so it's probably worth a try.

I see. O well, to each his own. I got Kumho Ecsta ASX (Ku21) tires for the rims. they should be mounted on today but I'm going to drop them onto the car after monday which is my scheduled appointment for the first oil chance/service.

Off topic... but, I really dislike that term "rice". Afterall we're all talking about a Japanese car that we love and it just plain sounds derogatory. I wish we could all agree not to use "rice" on this forum.

yup yup 15x7 wit 40 offset and 205/50/15 tires ^^

As for the center caps I asked the guys who sold me the rims about different center caps and they said "here's what we have" and then i asked about the ones you see on my rims and they just gave it to me.........i checked their site during the night time and found out that them center caps sell for $18/each and i got 4 of them for free!!! lol

With those small blue centers and the large polished rim, I thought the wheels would look like 13's. Wrong!

Hmm. If they do in fact look like 16's then I guess i made the right choice with the 15's hehe. Yea the wheels w/out tires mounted on them did look rather small.

kimona

The "problem" with the Yaris is that for such a small car it has a huge appetite to "swallow up" wheels.

Choosing the right set-up is important visually because many wheel/tire applications all the way up to 17's just look tiny on this car!

Yrsdrgn, you got very lucky, and your car looks great!

BTW, you could run some hubcentric spacers in the rear if you want a bit better look.

Thanks. Lucky? I think i might have been very lucky cuz the guy had a set of 16's and 15's lying around.

And I will try for 5mm spacers in the rear because I think that's about all I'll be needing to make it look more flush. I'll probably do that after i get my dent fixed in in the rear right fender (you can see in the pictures since all that i posted is the right side of the car haha)

kimona
