today..
i received an offer for a set of 17x7.5 wheels(see pic below) and 215-40-17 Kumho tires, all brand new for $750 installed out of the shop.

I did some photoshop work and its a go for me.. (hopefully the wife say yes too.. )!!

now,
if i still want to go with the Tein spring (1.9 drop),
..will that tire size is okay?
or should i go with 205-40-17?
or another size?

please guys..
i need your expertise and i gotta decide soon. kinda tired of looking around...:frown:

if youre going with tein s tech, it is better to use 205/40/17 to avoid rubbing. good luck and looking forward on seeing them on your car.

that's how it will be..with the center cap.

my other choice was the Tenzo DC5 version 1 or Tenzo Mach10,
http://www.tenzoracingsports.com/roadwheels/index.html

but i think this one is a classic and not many people use it..:)

I always thought that style wheel would look great on the Yaris... and it does!

And it looks especially good with the center cap rather than exposed lugs.

I saw these wheels at buywheelstoday.com

They're 17x7, ET40 @$70. each, and they have a somewhat similar look to the Audi wheels.

Unfortunately, they only have 3 of them.

Kimona..is that the Reaction Zuna??..
if that is the one, i have a set of 4..complete with Kumho SPT tires sitting in my garage now..

but mine is not for our Yaris because of the bolt pattern 5x100.
the weight when shipped, each 58lbs with tire mounted.
not sure the actual weight, but i think this wheel is heavy.

i bought mine from that same website, from a guy name Bob.
the dude doesn't talk much..but he knows how to take care their customer...
i received one of the center cap broken in 8 pieces...(i blame UPS for this... ), Bob sent me a replacement right away without asking why or who broke it.
my other friends at VW Vortex forum, also have positive feedback regarding this people.

i'm going this Saturday..for test fit, but maybe if i have time...i might go a day earlier.
that way when that Yaris meet on saturday..i can park my car next to those beautiful Yaris without feeling too stock

Seanele,

The primary consideration is the width and offset of the new wheels?

With this in mind, you can calculate the best tire size to fit your lowered car.

yeah..i'm a little worry on that.
The Audi looking wheel that i'm planing to get..is made for German car. they usually have different offset and a bit wider.
hopefully when we do the test fit..it won't be a problem and of course i will mention to them that i'm lowering the car.

Good luck with the test fit. Let's see what size tires you can run without rubbing. Of course, 205/45/17's (OEM) would be best if you have sufficient clearance. Looking forward to find out how it goes.

well..finally i got them installed.
i was told by the shop that the wheels are made for Audi and i should have use the 215-40-17.
but..i pushed for 205-45-17 and told them about the Tein spring. at the end, I ended up getting the 205-40-17.

here's the detail,
wheels: 17x7 Diablo Racing (Mas Rogers Italia design)
tires: 205-40-R17, Spector (which i don't like..but it's part of the special)

i went straight to Autobacs..hoping they can do the Tein spring,
but they still don't have in stock..even the Tanabe DFs.

came home a little late and almost dark,
but managed to snap couple of pictures of the car with the new wheels.
car is dirty but i will do better pictures next time at that after market rims/tires thread.

Love the wheels! Center cap looks great.

Not crazy about 205/40's, but with the drop you may pull it off okay.

Really want to know the wheel offset.... ?

Seanele,

I did an internet search for your wheels using your description; ie, wheels: 17x7 Diablo Racing (Mas Rogers Italia design), but couldn't find them.

Hmmm... do you or does anyone have a lead for me to find those wheels online?

after 2 months of online search plus driving around SoCal and you guys gave positive responds...,
that I really appreciated and terima kasih...(saying thanks in Indonesian).

anyway, this is old model and discontinued.
the link Brick posted, is the same with i found.

my buddies at VWVortex forums might be able to help with this info.
and by the look of the wheels on my car, i think i'm gonna have throw in some spacers.

btw..
i was told by a friend that this is a Diablo Racing with model number "007"
....hahaha...i felt like a spy already.
and the Mas Rogers Italia is another company who make the same design.
no body knows who made it first and who's copying..but both company supplies Audi back in the early time..,
80s or maybe 90s.
what i have probably the last brand new set of that design in the US continent,
yeahh!!!..i'm so gonna be a spy now

The more I look, the more I think your 7-spoke rims look better on the Yaris than the TSport OEM's!

I like them as they are, but you may want to consider blue-anodizing the chromed center nut. That may look very cool.

Nice!! very EuroStyle! Looks better than the mini cooper wheels to me, how much do they cost?

$699. out of the door.
but the tire (Spector), they suck...
I never use this kind of tires before and some of my VW friends gave me negative feedback.
one of them said that it goes out fast...:frown: damn
