I am currently using a Blaupunkt Head Unit (http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=18187), and it has given me nothing but problems. I will be pulling it as soon as I can afford my AVIC-D3.

Panasonic! Amazingly through the cold winters and accidently dropping the face plate it still works. It had some quirks in the begining but those have been worked out. But it works pretty nicely. It provides music for Kenwood eXcelon speakers and brings out the bass. Very nice!

Alpine seems like the most popular brand. Not that its bad, obviously its good if people or majority have it.

I've always loved the Pioneer decks. They're easy to get around, have awesome eq features, the sub controls are so nice and they never fk up. I dont' know anyone that's had a problem with one yet.
