I drove my new car for 100 miles, then went on-line and read how crappy the OEM Bridgestones are; total rating was like 17th place out of 19 total. I phoned Les Schwab Tires, and found that they were having a sale on 70,000 mile Ultras by TORO. They allowed me $120.00 trade-in on my OEMs, mounted and sipped the new tires for a total of $290.00 out the door. Great handling and certainly a more quiet ride than the OEMs

How many miles will the Bridgestones last? I'm at 39,000 miles right now and I'm planning on getting new rims when I get new tires.

Much of the answer to your question clearly depends on the driver's habits. My Titan still has OEM tires with 34,000 miles, and there're good for another winter. Google up our OEM 'Stones and read a couple reports on 'em.

I replaced my 2005 Camry OEM tires (Goodyear Integrity's) at 80,000 miles (all highway), and believe it or not, they still had some decent tread left!

My Dad's 83 Mazda pickup had half the tread left at 109,000....but the dryrot on the sidewalls screamed change me. He was 60 when he bought it new.....how you drive means everything!!!
i'm not understanding my bridgstoneshave 27,000+ on them and are fine they stick well in the wet and still have alot of tread left

Wooooow..... My tires lasted me 24,000 miles. WITHOUT any rotations, I'm not sure what you guys are doing..
I should say, just my fronts did.
I'm no grandma driver either.

yeah the stockies should get about 25000 with regular rotating.....but they really are not great tires and they are costly to replace with same ones......

Please enlighten me, what kind of tire is a TORO? The only Toro I'm familiar with is a famous lawnmower...

seems like a waste to spend unneeded $ on new tires because of a rating you read somewhere said they were 17th of 19....
and you got your new tires siped? as in the tread widened for winter?
oem bridgestones suck not because theyre bridgestones, its because theyre all seasons...
i had 8000kms on mine when i swapped (for free) for fuzion hri's which have WAY more grip than my oem 175 wide tires (now run 185's) - - but my oem tires still looked new...

How do I know when my tires are worn and I need new ones. I have the stock ones about 12,500 miles.

there are "wear bars" that run across the open tread....when the tire wears down to those, its time to replace the tires.
