On the 26th it's the UBC sports car club 50th anniversary. You are all invited to come and watch. It's an autocross event and our 50th anniversary celebration, but it's in Pitt Meadows. This was brought to my attention by MOJOYARIS. He will be in the auto cross. I think that this will be a great meet with all kinds of sports cars and we should show up and show off our stuff. I'll keep you posted with all the info as i get it.

When you turn right @ Ford Road, continue past the stop sign about 200 yards there will be a small dirt (access) road on the left which leads to the airport runway. Drive down the dirt road to the runway and you should be able to park your car there. I may be on the other strip on the other side of the grass field which you won't be able to drive to (the track may be in use)
but you can walk accross the field to a tent where I should be, or at my car.

Because it is a racing event you will have to sign a waiver and wear a wrist band to show that you are with me. I can show you around and give anyone rides to see how the Yaris performs on the track.

I'll fill you in as things get updated. We may actually have our "real" track ready for this event which will be much larger than the runway strip that we've been forced to use lately. I can update on the parking locations later.

It's always nice to meet others. I've met DNGZ a great guy who's getting involved in the auto x sport.

I think there will be a few other Yaris guys there as well (they're not part of the yarisworld forum,,, yet.).

Yeah sounds like alot of fun. Zoom zoom. Have you done alot of auto cross MOJO?

There will also be a BBQ there as well. Food vouchers for the BBQ will be $5.00 which you should be able to get at the tent. *however I think this will all be in the morning @ 9am. We were hoping we would have the new larger track, but we're going to have to make do with the temporary runway.

Mornings will be test runs and the afternoons will be team Enduro runs for the actual team races.

Whose tent will you be under? With that knowledge at least I can ask around.

There is probably the blue tent which is registration, but try not to bother them. They may be busy working the timing booth and stuff. There is also the BBQ tent. I'll be wearing a red Oasis hat, but if I'm not. I'm probably in my car or near it.

Look for the car and most likely you'll find me.

Just got word that the new pad is ready to use. We'll be running on he new pad which is bigger and better. When you go down Ford road (pass the stop sign). There should be a new paved road just pass the gravel road on the left which will lead to the new pad. There should be some cones to mark the entrance.

I'll try to keep my eyes out for anyone with Yaris to show them where to park, just in case.
