Sweet position. If I ever quit IT, I want to sell Toyotas or Hondas. Both are vehicles that I could sell with a clean conscience.

Awesome, welcome to the family..I too share the joy of working at a dealership that sells Toyota. I work on the BMW side, but I still get the discounts, etc. Congrats!!

Just don't post spam asking us to come buy from you, just kidding.

And dont drift customer cars in the back parking lot...

Seriously, there will be NO BETTER INFORMED salesperson in the USA on all things Yaris than Chino.

Cool! Now get us setup with the parts dept for some stuff.

I made it very clear to them that I am a Toyota die hard. It is my first sales position, but like I said... its easy to sell a product you believe in. All I know is I probably damn near tripled my income in one day. Rock. :headbang:

Congradulations! That's awesome! Keep us informed on any new development as well as how your job is treating you.

So have you been in sales before? I admire people like you in sales and working for commission but like you said if you believe in the product and have faith as well as be informed it shouldn't be a problem or not as much.

Again congrats!!

Thanks guys! Hopefully I'll be able to shed some light on some of the dealer-side issues we occasionally have when trying to get our Yarii. I'm really fucking excited.

congrats cc! i've done a few sales jobs and the job offers I get nowadays are always sales positions. i think it should be easier to sell a car as a guy than a woman personally. While other sales positions, it's always easier being a girl. I've been able to sell things i think due to the fact that I'm a girl. Plus, I've had a guy buy a cell phone from me and try to get my number. didn't work for him. anyway, it's def. easier to sell something you like rather than something you could give a hoot about. I enjoyed selling a few things but like my first job was selling newspaper subscriptions and I myself don't read newspapers so I didn't give a hoot about it so naturally, it wasn't as great of a job as I would like compared to later sales jobs.

Ok, well, good luck and keep us posted

only thing is your on the wrong side of the dealership. parts/ service is where its at....... and your discount may depend if your like by the guy ordering it or not......

Awesome, another man on the inside, ready to spill all of Toyota's dirty secrets  Congrats, man!

But... Don't you think you might get in trouble with the boss, when people come in to buy a Camry and you change their mind to get a Yaris instead?

Congrads Chino.... no more excuses on why your car is not modded :)

only thing is your on the wrong side of the dealership. parts/ service is where its at....... and your discount may depend if your like by the guy ordering it or not......

I worked in parts at a dealership before as well, and I think the only people that got hazed more than the porters were the salesmen.... everyone hates the salesmen, no offence Chino, but the salesmen are usually the ones in the dealership who know the leasy amount about the vehicles they are selling, and have the least automotive knowledge in general, but they can push units though the door and that is all that matters to the business and that is why they are there.....

Well Toyota of Bedford, OH will be the exception to the rule with a salesman who knows more about the car than the mechanics

$100 says Chino knows more about a Yaris than any of the mechanics or parts guys at his dealership....

ChinoCharles

I plan on knowing more about all of the cars than the mechanics. Good news is this dealership is actually really legit. They have a great reputation. I'm still going to know more than the mechanics, though!

I can hook you up with some pomade and some killer wide ties if you like. Remember polyester is your friend. You can basically wash and wear and it is very wrinkle resistant.
