There are many responds for the 2008 calendar plan and many users here wants to help too, so i think it's better we collect the photos first.

Post your best 3 or 4 takes here, then we all should decide if it's worthy to be on the Calendar.

we have plenty of time.., so no rush people.
if the plan failed..at least we can see them in great pose...:biggrin:
naahh..we gonna push through for this until it's done!

i suggest we submit at least 1 from the front, 1 from rear and 1 from angle or maybe from the side. if you wanna add more, it's all up to you.
3 door or 5 door, modified or not, all welcome!
try to keep it original photo..not photoshop or something.
the world wants original..not fake things!!..:redface:

if vendors name should be included, i dunno how that works and where they gonna be in the calendar, but it's a good idea!

Here are a few pictures from Mt. St. Helens and Ocean Shores in Washington State.
When I get my car back from the shop I'll take a few more pictures. The landscape where I live is quite breathtaking. I wanted to mention too I work as a graphic designer and could get the calendars designed and then printed for the cost of paper, ink & stapling. We do this sort of thing all the time at my work for people and businesses. A few other ideas is that we could use some of the runner up photos to fill in the "blank" days on the calendar :thumbup:. Let me know what you guys think and keep those quality photos coming!

I don't know, as I didn't start this thread, but if you're looking at making a Yaris calendar, think "CAR". If you buy a Mustang calendar, they focus on the car, not the scenary. The Scenary enhances the pose, but get the car close-up. We can all take great scenary pics (you should see my new pics of Devil's Tower, with and without the Yaris in them), but only if you've done some customizing to your car will it stand out in a vote. My 2-cents worth.

The light streaks in the first photo are unintentional. Just happened that a biker zipped past the camera at that moment. I thought the streaks were interesting, but I have other shots with the bridge without them.

All the movement blur photos were the result of trial and error with the camera and getting a buddy to drive my car up and down the street, because I don't know how to use Photoshop :confused:

Hey, I don't know if anyone has asked this question b/c i haven't read through the whole set of post but where did you get that yaris model car on your dash? It's AWESOME :w00t: , i just wish i could get a sedan version for my own.....lol.... I've looked but haven't found it yet.

I found the Yaris Die-cast model on Ebay. It's not 100% authentic. I think it's an older version of the Vitz because the tail lights and body lines are not right, but I went to Wal-mart and bought a Dodge Charger model and stole the chrome 5-spoke wheels off it and replaced the ugly wheels on the model, then I bought 3 bottles of model paint and painted my graphic on the side to make it look more like my car. Turned out pretty good.

Also you know I would make sure these are done right with great quality. If there is interest I can get a price quote from my boss. The more that buy in, the cheaper they become. I have attached a cover of a book I designed for a local high-end car dealership. This could also be a good layout for the Yaris, just replace everything to be Yaris/Toyota instead of Chyrsler/BMW/Mercedes.

about the tyres they're hankook 205 50 15s, they handle ok and they don't change the feel when driving. their tread's ok too. as for the sunroof i dnt knw where my bro. had it installed. i only inherited the car from him cos he bought a mazda3, should be around the LA area. no idea about the $ but probably below 1K, tnx and more hp!:thumbsup:

I'm going to try and get some sunset pictures from that same spot tomorrow. I took more, but this one came out the best. Also plan to try and order some wheels this week, but STILL can't decide!

nice. did you use a tripod? if not, could make the picture less blurry (if that was the problem with the other pics).

Yeah, I didn't have a tri-pod. I'm so torn on what style of rims I want to buy, it's killing me that I can't choose.

I need to gather the photos I have uploaded on photobucket and get the voting going very soon. I'm thinking of a poster type calendar for this year. Should be cheaper and I can have them printed at my new job. I'll keep everyone posted. But yes, photo submission for the '09 issue is done. I just need to get the voting started.
