Anyone running this tire?

I checked the "math" section of the tire guide, but it seemed like another language to me :(

Basically, if I'm running the OEM wheels, will this tire (A) fit, and (B) have the same rolling diameter?

Yes, 205/55/15 will fit your stock steel rims with no problem. And, yes it is the recommended replacement upgrade size for 185/60/15 with basically the same diameter. Install 205/55/15's with confidence.

*Oh, BTW, post some feedback and pics when you upgrade tires so other members can benefit from your experience.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.htmlWhere do you think I got the size ;) That site is bookmarked on every computer I come in contact with :D

Only reason I asked was because the tire guide mentions something about rim width also playing a part in selecting the aspect ratio.

Recommended rim width for the OEM 185/60 (23.7") is 4.5-7.0"; for the 205/55 (23.9"), it's 5.5-7.5", so you'll be fine.

Cool beans :)

I figured it would be OK, just making sure. I've been modding cars for years and I've had two "awakenings" in two days on this site.

Crazy stuff I tell you :)

hey, just try not to use 205's on the stock 5.5" width wheels.
i run 195/55R15 on my Yaris1 Ts wheels, and they are already pretty buldged.

Well, 195/55's will work fine enough, but 205/55's are within spec and they do fit the 5.5" wheel within recommendation... no problem. Plus, 205's will fill the huge gap better and provide more of a footprint.

205's are fine on 5.5 wheels... like kimona said.... wider footprint
