I haven't seen the Tenabe unit for the Yaris but I have seen their exhaust systems. They seem to be loud and attract cops.

Well, on the car I drive I have the Apex I GT Spec. At the time it was the quietest one I could find for my car which it is under low throttle. Open up the throttle and it is very loud. I like it and it works great but I wish it was a tad quieter at idle and regular driving. I have been pulled over twice in the 4 years I have had it.

If I were to buy a new system at this time I would look for an RSR Exmag system.
They make it for several cars but not sure if it is for the Yaris yet. The canister looks much like stock and is very quiet, yet large diameter piping and smooth bends. It makes good power with out the attention.

I have the TRD v. S exhaust and it adds some power, sounds throaty not farty and is quiet at idle. It's not so loud either so I'm not worried about the po po. Can't speak for the other exhaust though. :smile:

hey ya I do, im contemplating lol - looking for looks and sound - don't really care about performance - well I'm also getting AEM CAI - so hope it the 2 combined makes a difference

I know there isn't much out there for the Yaris yet. You might want to get a custom one made depending on what YOU are looking for. I just thought I would suggest something quiet, it makes your life a lot easier in the long run.

Getting a custom exhaust made can be difficult too. Ask to see a system they have made and look at the quality of the piping used, welds, and if the piping is mandrel bend pipe. I hope this helps.

Here are a couple pics of the intake. Instead of removing the splash guard on the inside fender I removed the front foglight cover/plug. I plan on using a dremel to allow airflow for the cover.

You can just barely see the air filter at the top of the hole. It has been raining the past couple days and so far no issues.

I don't have any sound clips yet. I am on my way out for lunch, we'll see what my cell phone can record. On the exhaust, its the Version S, which is the Japanese Vitz version. You will melt a small underside part of your bumper unless you get some longer hangers.

just installed the tanabe medalion touring and WOW!!! i highly recommend this exhaust, definitely the most anti-rice sounding exhaust i have heard in a while! big props to WeSellCarParts for the hookup! oh yeah, it takes longer to jack up the car and take off the rear wheel than it does to actually install the exhaust:thumbup:

I know TRDsparks has the USDM exhaust. As for the Vitz exhaust I don't know where you can find it now, most places seem to be selling the US version. I got mine on ebay about a year ago.
