Yaris/Echo Rear Brake Question

Does anyone know if the rear brakes shoes on the 2007 yaris are the same as what was on the 2006 Echo. My wife drove the car about 8 or 9 miles with the emergency brake on and I need to replace them. Of course the rear shoes are not available yet aftermarket and I hate to have to buy them from the dealer if I don't have too.

Any help would be appreciated.

It shouldn't need replacement. It'll be a bit worn and may need adjustment, that's all.

if she drove 8-9 miles with the brake on light enough for her to drive you should be fine, for piece of mine you make want to get them checked out..... or where are you at in Ohio... if you are close to me I will be more than happy to check them out for you, I have had my car apart more times than I have liked to inspecting things to modify for a rear disc conversion.....
