Yeah, I believe it's a complete package offered by Toyota Japan for their domestic market only. Check out all the Toyota Accesories too.. So envy... Why can't we get same kinda selection when we buy our cars

I proposed setting up a petition but nobody seemed to want to go with it or offer input, so *shrug*

U know what, it is a great idea. However, it probably needs a hell of a lot of people sign it before TRD would even take a closer look at it I bet.
And Toyota has always cared about volume and profitablity. With only say a few hundred people that "Appears to be interested" I highly doubt it's worth the time. But thats just me.
Let alone there are starting to have aftermarket manufacturer thats starting to supply accessories and parts for Yaris. That might be our alternative??

Now that's the kind of input I was looking for. Everyone just acted like they couldn't care less. Do you think it would be even worth attempting? The other issue is maybe set up a petition to open up their ECU setup. I've read a ton about the aftermarket kits being hobbled by a (for lack of a better word) cock-blocking ECU.

I'm surprised this petition hasn't been active yet either. What is the engine code?
Why isn't this being done? It doesn't matter some over rated magazine will publish a series on it and every kid on the block will want one. Soon, owning a Yaris will be a chore to keep secure.

Well we can get this started, I'll take the initiative, if people will sign the damn thing. I'll even write a second one for them to open up the ECU programming so the aftermarket can go nuts. Any takers?

Worth a shot.

Alright, sometime this weekend I'll put something up.

There are people out there who can read and change ECU's. Would it not be easier to convince one of them rather than spending time trying to convince toyota? If people really want it, convince Chris tapp to do it. Check out eurodyne.ca, this guy has already offered, and he would be happy to help, if the need is there.

Piggy back set up's and alphabet soup (Gxb with afc and icm and tcm....) just arent the answer, you need the factory ecu for so many reasons.

There is alot of difference between a 240sx ECU and the one in the Yaris. But anyone willing to try would be of help to many.

They can tune others as well. I have sent them an email and I'm waiting for reply.

We appreciate your interest in our company. The ECUs that we normally
tune are pretty old technology; almost 20 years old, actually. The ECU
for the Yaris is going to be a much different animal. The Yaris ECU,
like most current ECUs, should be able to be reflashed through the OBDII
port. You should probably look to tuner out there that is already
familiar with this sort of tuning. I've seen the Toyota OBDII
reprogramming and diagnostic tool, so I know that it can be done. It's
just that it would be too large of a jump for us to get into late-model
OBDII tuning, and that is not a commitment that we can make right now.
I would suggest trying to find someone who reflashed other late-model
Toyotas. Good luck!

Thanks,
RS Enthalpy

why wait... all of those pieces have to have part #'s maybe there is not a kit, but we sure as hell can get the turbo, manifolds, ECM and any other little things that may be yaris specific.... wish we had someone in Japan who had direct contact with a dealship, or someone who can speak Japanese so we can get part #'s

the turbo's part number is 17201-YW602 as seen on the turbo itself in their photo haha.

in any case, i searched numerous japanese websites, no part numbers found. i travel between home and america all the time. if i get time, i'll go ask. they most likely won't give it to me though, but still worth a shot.
