The Mirrors are nice, and is that a touch screen in the black interior? Also, that green color kicks ass...

nothing major.....little touch ups here and there..
1st thing i noticed about it, is the taillights, mirrors and the foglight shape...other than that might be the 2008+ model??

I don't like how the lower grill is wider than the upper. It kind of disturbs the lines of the car...

and the bumpers... they have those silly little protectors built into them
the taillights do look a bit better..... wonder if the RS's ones are going to change and look any better?

You know, I bet if enough of us signed a petition, TRD might consider bringing that here, at least as an aftermarket option.

Howabout this:
Petition to open the JDM TRD Vitz catalog to United States market Yaris customers
We, the undersigned Toyota Yaris owners and fans, urge the companies Toyota and its in-house tuning subsidiary TRD USA to make available performance items available in the Japanese Domestic Market to your United States customers through its United States distribution channels.
In the Japanese domestic market, there are more robust performance part options than available in the United States market, such as TRD turbo kits, body kits and other aerodynamic improvements, as well as many other components that are designed from the start to function properly with our vehicles without unwanted side effects due to adapting components designed for other applications or by third party vendors. We would like to see a wide range of TRD developed parts made available to us so that we can realize the true potential of this platform without compromising the legendary Toyota reliability we have come to appreciate.
The market for performance import vehicles has been proven with such vehicles such as the Subaru WRX and Mitsubishi EVO series, not to mention the high demand for Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) parts to transform vehicles that are mundane in our market into the JDM equivalent, which often taps the hidden potential of the platform to make an exiting car. We would like Toyota and TRD USA to offer its customers in the United States the chance to act on this demand by tapping into the same feverish market that exists for other entry level car owners, such as exists with the Honda Civic. In this example, it has been proven that people will buy entry level vehicles in the interest of upgrading as they can afford them, often times moving to higher models as their budget increases, creating a strong and lasting brand loyalty as well as happy customers with exiting vehicles that will become brand advocates through automotive communities, car shows, and so on.
Please consider our request. Your customers and fans,
- The Undersigned

Granted it kisses a little ass, but alas, marketing involves that. If someone wants to run with this, maybe we can get a petition going and then submit it to Toyota once there is a good chunk of signatures. It wouldn't be just for the turbo kit, if someone wants to list parts such as body kits, etc on there we'd be good to go there too. Another suggestion, and this one is to staff: it would probably hold more credibility if it were hosted on Yarisworld instead of one of those generic petiton sites.

If you're serious about this, you can post this petition here for people to sign (http://www.petitiononline.com/create_petition.html).
I'll be sure to give it a read if/when you do! :respekt:

I'm just a potential customer, this one is best left up to the actual owners. I'm just giving everyone a starting point, did some research and worded it appropriately, I think the experts still need to add and/or subtract where they see fit :D However, I'd be the first to sign it. I'd rock a TRD turbo kit in a sliver of a second. Also, as I said above, I think it would lend itself legitimacy coming from a place like Yarisworld instead of something generic. If I remember right, the car magazines (via petition and letters) stopped Ford from releasing the Probe as a Mustang. It can be done.

it's like they stuck the sedan lower front end on the LB, don't really like it.

I preferred the simple clean lines on the current-shape Yaris more than the facelift, which looks more angular and fussy. The re-shaping of the grille makes it look more Vitz RS, which however is quite nice. The headlights do not appear to have been altered, the bumper design makes the headlights look deeper set, that's all.

Anybody up to put their money where their demand is about petitioning some of this want-list gear that I see people drooling over? Staff, would you be interested in hosting the petition?
