I added cruise at the dealer for 350 US and now I my right calf muscle does not get cramped. Another benefit is I do not have to look at the speedometer that is hard to read with sunglasses in the day with the unusual speed increments.

The dealer add on is just like (the same) the one that comes from the factory. It sits at 8:00 under the wheel and the ergonomics are intuitive and the unit works great with fine speed control. Give your eyes and leg a rest.

if it sits at 8:00, then it is not the same as the toyota factory cruise, which sticks out on the right side of the steering wheel. the factory unit actually turns with the wheel as well. the only button on the factory cruise stalk is to turn it on, while set, resume, and accel funtions are controlled by moving the whole stalk either up or down. as far as i know, the sedan is the only yaris that can have the toyota factory cruise put in, while the hatchback requires the rostra unit, which would stick out on the left side and is stationary (the stalk does not turn with the wheel and all functions are done with buttons). someone please correct me if i am wrong, because if the toyota factory cruise stalk is available for the hatchback, id much prefer it over the rostra unit (for ease of use, plus you can see the unit better)

LB's do NOT have cruise available from the factory. If a new LB comes with cruise it is because it was added at the dealer. Toyota factory cruises are indeed on the steering wheel at the 4 O'clock position.

Are you sure... it was on the build sheet of the one we special ordered

i believe all toyo factory cruise stalks are on the right side. the liftbacks only take the rostra unit as far as i know. they might be putting them on before delivery, but i still think they are the rostra unit, not toyota.

if anyone with a liftback could post a picture of your cruise, it would be easy to tell if its a toyota factory unit.

however, according to all the toyota techs ive talked to, ALL toyota factory cruise units are on the right side at about 4:00 and move with the steering wheel.
