Can someone confirm for me the number of keys supplied (Australian purchase) by the dealer when they bought their Yaris ??

I'm assuming that two masters are provided, but need to confirm if they are both the Master Keys (black) and/or the sub key (grey).

Thanks.

Yes here in adelaide you get 1 key with the remote built in, 1 master key without remote and lucky last a valet key which only let you in the drivers door and start the car and thats it . SO thats 2 black keys and 1 dark gray which is the valet key.

LOL... And the rest.

The Toyota rep couldn't tell me specifically but mentioned that they are comparable in cost to the new Corolla... between $220~$300... And with the new Corolla it seems you only get 1 Master key - which got me thinking about the Yaris.. and more importantly if you only got one key with the transponder and loose it, how much it going to cost to get another one - or [gasp] if they'd have to replace the unit in the car.

Don't get too excited about the phrase "credit card key". It's literally a plastic credit card with the shape of your door lock key cut into it. Nothing fancy, just a piece of plastic cut to the shape of your door key. If you lock your keys in the car then you just pull out your plastic credit card key from your wallet and bend the key part out so that you can put it in the door and unlock it. I tried to dig up a photo online but I didn't come up with anything.

If you are in the states, just contact the salesman that you worked with. They usually give one of these when they do your first free oil change for you. My salesman is mailing me one since I drove 300 miles to purchase the car.
