Bluetooth OBDII

Was randomly hunting around, and ran across this and thought I'd share it for anyone else that lugs a laptop or bluetooth-enabled smartphone around with them in their Yaris and doesn't want to clutter up the interior with running wires everywhere for aftermarket gauges.

Now comes the question... any interest in a group buy? They specifically say they'll make deals for group buys/forums/clubs on the website. I'd offer to set it up, but I'd rather one of the more trusted folks on the forums set it up since I'm so new to and all.

Too bad they don't have a Linux version of the software, otherwise I'd be in.

I love my SGII but it has a tremendous limitation, manifested by the inability to pull data out of it.

Since their hardware is just a Bluetooth serial-adapter wedged onto a standard serial-to-OBDII module, I'd imagine ScanTool.Net (http://www.scantool.net/) has Linux software that would work perfectly well with it. Hell, ST.N offers basically the same thing for about the same price, but with a combination that ends up being massive compared to the dinky little package I tracked down.

It's all basically the same hardware, just they're starting to make single-module devices that include the bluetooth chip inside the housing instead of huge piles of chips linked together.

That looks pretty promising... I used an interface on my Scion that was similiar, but was wired and annoying... www.obddiagnostics.com really cool for CEL reset and checking stuff out though...
