Hi all,
This is my first post. I hope to become an active member here.
I bought this Yaris in June and since then added 17" rims, a spoiler, altezza lights, de-badged it, added decepticon floor mats, yaris fitted seats, and toyota seat belt pads and painted the interior. I also have the Kaminari body kit in my garage ready to be painted.

I like the yellow and black. Perhaps a bit too much yellow for my taste with the seat covers and floor mats. Nevertheless, very nice clean job personalizing your Yaris.

I like the wheels too, but the tires look a little too short.

nice yaris! and welcome. ya that yellow is very bright. if it was a lil darker yellow, it'd look cool but still looks good as is hehe. nice.

When I saw the first interior-only pics I thought it was a little intense, but with the black exterior it pops nice. It'll be hot dropped. Congrats.

Would you mind posting a pick of the rear seats etc. Looks like some more stuff to see from that rear quarter shot through the hatch.

doesn't look bad. i'm sure it suits you and your taste. i'm still trying to figure out what scheme to do with my red LB.

That's interesting to say the least, but doesn't look half bad!

Now you need to start adding vinyl stripes on the outside

as long as it suits your taste then it's all good ;]
not really a fan of yellow but that's some cool thing you did with your yaris!

Looks good but you need a lot on the outside. Also you need to do your door panel fabric like I did...congrats on joining the bling club. Prepare for our more juvenile members to label you all sorts of things here.

You need to put some yellow somewhere on the outside to make the yellow on the inside balance. I LOVE the steering wheel. I want that in blue to balance the blue fleck in the cloth seats... I will have one of those!

Not a huge fan of the yellow, but I appreciate the detail that went on the paint job. You might want to consider painting the blue spots in the interior fabric to black, since IMHO blue and yellow clash a bit too much. A couple of questions:
Which process did you use for painting (sanding, primer, etc?)
Do the painted parts get sticky when it's hot/sunny?TIA :respekt:

I can answer these I do more interior work than anything.

the interior is no different than the exterior painting wise.

for a plastic piece:
wet sand with 200 grit sand paper.
allow to fully dry then wipe with alcohol to remove any remaining dust
spray with sand-able primer allow to dry for at least and hour
wet sand with 1000 grit and paper
allow to dry wipe with alcohol
apply paint color of choice in swift long lite coats, several lite coats are better than 2 heavy coats. allowing each coat about ten minutes to dry.
allow to fully dry
apply UV resistant clear coat in the same manner is you did when painting.
allow to dry for at least 24hrs before installing them back into the car.
if you want a shine buff with a buffing compound.

or option
if you want to rid the piece of texture and make it smooth like the exterior of the car
sand with 80 grit sand paper
apply a filler called dolphin glaze.
allow to fully dry
sand to a 2000 grit finish
apply a coat of primer
if there are more imperfections add another layer of dolphin glaze to the imperfection not the whole piece!
repeat previous 3 steps until the piece is flawless
now apply paint the same as above.

**painted pieces will get dirtier than people think its a constant finger print battle.

I wouldn't paint the drums yellow. Do you really want to draw attention to them?

why paint the drums yellow when you can get yellow rims and stand out more? =P haha don't think i should be one to be saying that since i have a white LB with blue rims =P and another member on the forums has green te37s on a white LB ^^ I wonder who else has different colored rims other than silver, bronze, or black on a Yarii

Colored rims can certainly look good on a Yaris.

I really wouldn't mind wiping off fingerprints every now and then, but sticky surfaces I really want to avoid.
Thanks for the answer, redduck! That pic looks nice as well. The blue fluffy stuff on the dash is definitely interesting!
