Sorry, I don't know crap about tires. Are these 16's wider than the stockers? I think it comes with 175/65-14's. Don't know what any of those numbers mean, all I know is this car needs more rubber on the road.
C2AUTOSPL

diamter is bigger. Looking at the numbers you posted, your yaris came with only 14in. wheels.

Nope, these wheels only come in 4x100 bolt pattern, Focus has a odd european bolt pattern of 4x118
I've been eyeing these wheels for when I get a yaris. I want ultra lite 15"s for around $100ea. Only other option is Falken Hanabi, but they look too much like some factory stock wheels. Centerline sometimes has rotary forged 15" storm wheels on sale for $99, but they are highly polished and most people don't like the chromish look.
Those are the wheels I put on mine.

C2, have you heard of any complaints with these wheels, and what's Konig's warrantee on them? I've heard some rumors about some people cracking their spokes with these, and I know they're cast... I haven't heard many complaints, but I've heard some, so naturally, I worry. Just to specify, most of the complaints I've heard have originated from people that were using them for autocross.
bigsky2
09-28-2006, 06:09 AM
There's the kicker!
These wheels are not meant for auto crossing, therefore they will wear/damage if put under those conditions.
So far no complaints from me, and I've been running with them for about two months now.

I would think the rough streets of some cities would put more strain on the wheels than an auto-x event.

It depends on your driving conditions and the tires the you use. Dont put skinny tires or drive fast over un even pavement. Lighter wheels, doesnt matter what brand(Volk or Konig), well bend if you drive recklessly.

Same here...i'll be getting these...pretty cheap and light!! Should be lighter than stock wheels...more gas mileage then? I was comparing the weight of these ones to other Konig ones on the site and these are a lot lighter. Hmm...the bronze in your pics actually look bronze C2...but the ones that are in Bigsky's are like Gunmetal...and he describes them as "very gunmetal"...are there 2 bronze colors? I've seen other bronze wheels out there and they are very bronze....
bigsky2
10-02-2006, 02:43 PM
For some odd reason the 17" version is a mixture of Gunmetal and Bronze. In some lighting conditions, it's quite gunmetal (ie. under the shade, low light, less natural light).
When it's really sunny, the bronze comes out a bit more, but it's not nearly as colourful as the bronze in 15/16 sizes.
The box states it's Bronze colour, so I don't know what to tell you.
I'm quite happy with the colour either way :)

Yes, my name is John - thank you for noticing
Ask Jay to take a few more photos of the bronze in natural daylight. In particular, ask for close up pictures focusing on the wheel completely.
The colour of the wheel will be at its brightest during natural daylight, so if it looks very bronzey then I would suggest considering another style/colour if it doesn't suit your taste.
Alternatively, you can up the size to 17"
Personally I am happier with 17" because the Konig Helium has a smaller spoke profile than other wheels of the same style.
If you take a closer look, you will notice that the spokes do not extend to the edge of the rim compared to other wheels of the similar style. It terminates about 1" away from the edge of the rim. When you look at it from a few feet back, it gives the effect that the wheel looks smaller than it actually is.
It depends on what sort of looks you want, and how much you are willing to sacrifice in terms of performance. The 17" Heliums weigh 17 lbs on its own, compared to the 15" which are only 10lbs.
Hope this helps!
Remember to post pics of your final wheel install after it's done

What I mean is, the spokes reach the edge of the rim as close as it can which emphasizes the size of the wheel much better than the Heliums.

Anyone want to post a clear shot of the rear wheel with Feathers installed. Every pic I've seen seems to skirt around that angle and I have concerns about the how empty these wheels might look with only a sad little drum brake behind them.

I have the shocks so I might be just a touch lower than you, but maybe (just maybe) a 45 profile tire would have filled the well up a bit without rubbing? I'm only asking because your car has me thinking about 17's now, but I'm not a big fan of 40 and less profiles.

The 15x6.5 should fit the stock tires, actually, alot of people have done just that. Unfortunately though, the Heliums do not come in 15x7, only 15x6.5 or 16x7.
