Don't know if that link worked, but I found the article at (and this isn't a plug) DrudgeReport.com. Looks really cool, but the article didn't say if it would be available in the U.S. Probably not. It also didn't mention any gas mileage expectations.

My guess is no. I think the Aygo is getting a mid-cycle up date but that's just looks. I think this car is aimed at the Smart. I was rumored that Toyota will bring over a Smart competitor to the U.S. but that might be one in a million.

I don't think it has so much to do with capitalism as safety regs. I can't imagine that thing would come anywhere close to meeting crash test requirements. Yes, the smart is smaller, but it's also one giant steel frame, hence the odd look. This thing isn't big enough to carry 4 people AND be hiding anything solid underneath that cute bodywork. Hell, the rear passenger headrest IS the rear window!

That's one sweet little car. I remember about 10 years ago Toyota was testing a car in Japan with had a digital face on it. If the car was being maintained well it would have a really happy face for everyone to see. If you weren't maintaining your car it would slowly develop a frown.

Ever notice how recent toyota's seem to have faces? I wonder if this is a psychological thing, done on purpose, because people like relating to and looking at other peoples faces?

The iQ looks pissed off, I like it. If they came out with that here it would definately be one to consider for a city car.

I remember that car! I thought it was an awesome idea... like a giant tamagotchi pet! It would wiggle the side mirrors like ears when it was happy, and wag its antenna. If I'm not mistaken, it took note of your music preferences as well, and somehow incorporated that. Very funky.
