CAN ANYONE WHO HAS purchased the alarm system (rs3200) VIP system please do a test for me?
1--- go out to your LIFTBACK only (sorry 4-boxers) and unlock the car, open either door, close the door, then open the hatch ( leave it open) and wait about 2 minutes or so or what have you and tell me what the alarm does?
2--- Liftback only; unlock the car, get in, close the door, turn on the engine, wait a few seconds, turn it off, get out, close the door then open the hatch ( and leave it open) and wait and see what the alarm does if anything?
the reason i'm asking is because in the booklet the hatch should technically either be treated like a third door (where the alarm does not go off or arm itself while the hatch is open) or like a trunk lid (wait about 30 second to 1 minute or so then give a warning beep then arm itself or set off the alarm)
the car does neither of the above, under any circumstances and the dealer said it doesn't have to. well, I paid for an alarm system, to do what it should, not stay dormant and arm the rest of the car meanwhile the hatch is wide open, where anyone could just get in and do what they wanted to/steal what they wanted to....until you open the doors then it goes off.....bollocks...
