I'd love to save up and do this, it's a pretty good price, you'd be hard pressed to find a plane ticket and a hotel alone for that price. Unfortunately, i'll be in my AEF cycle and won't have a chance to leave work for this one.

Having lived in Japan and attended a few years back (not part of the tour), I can tell you that this is a must see event.... One that is truly at a spiritual level that you simply have to do. (along with the more mainstream Tokyo Motor Show).

Shinjuku, Chiba, The Royal Gardens, Ginza and Akihabara are mind blowing.
Just don't lose too many brain cells in Roppongi, and DON'T EAT THE PIZZA !

Yea a must for people w/ car passion. If it was in the summer, like some in the past, I would def. go to it. Price seems a bit high for me, but thats because I go through agency...

It looks like a nice package... perhaps a bit pricey, but still within reason.

For your information: Airfare to Japan is cheap in early January, small (teeny-weeny) hotel rooms are neat and super clean and not too expensive, if booked in advance, and food is actually quite cheap if you eat where the locals eat. But, you'll find ground transportation (buses and trains) terribly expensive, as are tickets to events. So, take all this into consideration when you look at the package price.

Anyway, the Tokyo Auto Salon is like no other; it's exciting, sexy, and inspiring... an emotional experience! It will absolutely change the way you think about cars. And, Japan just may change the way you think about life in general...
