jus went to the 10000km servicing and paid my first 169 bucks to f-ing toyota.

i dont know why but it seems that the engine is smoother and less noisy producing. and jus have a feeling dat it is running at lower RPM.

anyone had their 10000km done ?

no ideas man ... 40k seems far away for me.im onli doing like 12k for 7 month .. 40 k will be like 17 month more excluding my overseas trip !! probably get that done in mid '09 !!

im complaining about the 169 cos it seems they did nothing about the car and yet im getting charged so much. freaking 80+ for labour.gosh.

Budget closer to $500.
Servicing (and insurance) costs were one of the first things I ran through with my deaer prior to ordering.

This is on par with the Colt and Jazz figures I was quoted.
AND... be greateful you don't own a Swift. Thats in the $600 + bracket.

EDIT: $80 labour charge isn't unreasonable either.
EDIT EDIT... Well, maybe 'unreasonable' isn't exactly the right word to use... but you know what I mean.

Hi I've done my 10K km service at southside toyota (BNE) that cost me $175

$169 doesn't sound like much really...after my yaris had its first free 1000km service, I asked how much the next service will cost, and was told about $220 at Toyota. It doesn't need this service for another few months though, so I can't confirm it will cost that amount just yet.

Meh... i had $169 for my 10k 20k 30k and going to be one big hit for my 40k service...

But then I would really recommend owners to service their car at a good Toyota dealer... really can tell the difference between Ultratune & Toyota services...

Cheers

Much much better than the standard Dunlop SP Sport 2030s...

Should last longer and actually more quieter than the Dunlops... :P

how much you pay per corner and whats the tyre sizing?

im going to get 205/55R15 when mine needs replacing...BUT some ppl say 205 on a 5.5" rim is asking for trouble but on YW they say its fine...dunno who to trust.

Isn't that the truth. I've got SP200's on my falcon and geeeeze talk about road noise.

IMHO that's pushing the boundries of the wheel to control the tyre contact patch. Safer to do a ring around to some tyre places and get their opinion.

Abit exxy 119 per and including wheel alignment 500 all up @ Jax Southport... i need wheel alignment coz the handling dont feel right after i blew my steel rims thanks to a rather deep pot hole...

Size is 195/55R15... Jax said a 185/60 a Michelin will set me back 180 plus... and a Nexus is 150 per

My other friend told me that Swift's Bridgestone Potenza (quoted at Jaz Springwood @ $128 per) is better than my Falken ZE329 in terms of handling but I told him that my treadwear is 480 where as the Potenza is 140... so should last me a good while since I do a lot of highway driving at the moment...

FYI treadwear the higher the number the better...

for 205s i think you better get a wider 7' 15's rims... otherwise you really asking for trouble... :P

180?!! what are they nuts?! you may as well just buy some nice rims and get free tyres! id rather have wider crappier tyres (215) to thin good ones (185):|

ITs true...

Hey 180 is cheap compare to dealer quoted 200 plus for Dunlops...

I wanna get some rims in the near future... but not sure if i'm going to change cars... lol

Anyway in the process of sound deaden my car now... going to do the door trims 1st tomorrow and hope can find time for the whole doors tomorrow...

Driving on the highway is bloody noisy in the Yaris...
