View Full Version : People with racing harnesses
Hey y'all! Iwas wondering if you could put in a 3pt harness with stock seats. Also, where would you mount these points?
My friend tried it with his stock seat in his car, but im not sure he used the right lap points because one side was longer then the other and was really lose even after adjusting the lengths.
I was curious because I just need something for track days to hold me in my seat. Thanks

Heard good things about these guys, they should be able to strap you a decent deal. You know, buckle down and sell you something. Try to restrain yourself... Jesus, I'm a retard. But check it out anyway http://www.apexperformance.net/

The OEM belts are 3 point.
You probally mean 5 or 6 point harnesses...
And ofcourse you can, just follow all the safety guidelines - i.e. the shoulder straps cannot exceed a 45 degree down angle from horizontal (don't connect them behind the front seat). Thats really the toughest one, I've seen connections to rear shock towers in an Alfa GTV Junior, or the always popular harness bar that goes right through the rear seats.
i was thinking of something like

i know the top goes to the c pillar...but where do the other side bolts go? where the seat rail bolts are?
