some people only put s class tires (rated for 112) and i know 118 is much higher but just think if i did blow or lose traction at 118 your screwed

the s class are usually on used cars

could you take the speed limiter off when your changing the clutch

Probably 118 mph, I guess. I glanced down and it was close to 120...Then I basically said "Oh fuck!" and slowed down, cause I didn't even realize it. (That was in the Yaris)

In the Camry? I don't think I should say...>.>

I need to find a track. I got pulled over for doing 84 in a 65 the other day :(

I went to Vehix.com and found the gear ratios, then went to f-body.org/gearing and plugged in all the info. The mechanical top speed, at 6500 rpm in 5th gear, is about 146. This means that you put a turbo and got it up to that speed, it wouldn't go over 146 unless you made the 5th gear or the final drive taller. I haven't gone over 97 (I'm paranoid about cops) yet in the country, but I'm sure it could do 120, just takes a while to get there...

I swear ... maybe 80
Maybe something is wrong with my car.
Its incredibly Loud, Weak, and very slow.
I have a hard time accelling even on the Acceleration ramp on highways..

Yaris = the Shittiest car to carpool with. I think i'm getting about 20 Mpg on my transit everday. To equal out Speed, i have to gas more... Gas more just to get to 60, or stop and go to speeding Carpool lanes..

Dam... I always thought it was 117... I guess i didnt look good... But ive done 118 a lot... Once i went to 130... But that was going downhill. If any Local Yaris's Wanna try it, You Take the highway towards miami beach that says Welcome to Miami Beach (like the one from the will smith video) and it has this big bridge thing... When u go down Top Speed.... YOU GO FAST <33333 Im all stock of course...

the fastest i can get going in the automatic yaris sedan was whatever 3rd gear tops out at. As soon as it shifts to fourth, i only have enough power to maintain my speed, which is around 160kmh. In my old e46 m3 smg i had, i hit 260kmh and still had room to go. I have a video of it on my computer and its somewhat incriminating lol. My girlfriend was doing her make-up in her passenger seat and didn't even realize how fast we were going. that was a solid car. my is300 is pretty solid too but starts struggling as soon as i hit 5th gear at around 220kmh.

after a custom ghetto intake and royal purple mine flies thru from 80 to top speed i even underestimate the speed i'm going by the time i know it the chip has kicked in already and my top speed is 118mph downhill coasting and 115 speed limiter kicks in CA and from speeding i've been pulled over for doing 65 on a 45 lost track of speed trying to pass up some traffic lol

re-did my intake and exhaust so i'll try the top speed again and get a video. then i'll put in the NST pulleys and try again :)

I've run up to the speed limiter plenty of times on our top-secret Nevada test facility (Area 52). I even tried running larger diameter tires from my Bonneville Civic to fool the VSS-but the motor did not have the power to pull the taller gearing/increase MOI from the heavier wheel/tire package. BTW-We ran 211 mph in our Civic on this same test road and eventually ran 227.7 mph out at Bonneville (World's Fastest Honda Civic).

Is your Yaris manual or automatic version? By the way,my 2004 Yaris(Vitz in Japan) 1.3U-L recorded 190.68km/h(with limiter kicking in) on chassis dyno, there was some space left for its accelerator then, so it can reach 195-200km/h bracket if it is without limiter.

My Yaris=Yaris(Vitz) 1.3U-L with 1296cc 2SZ-FE engine(72mm bore/79.7mm stroke);with CVT automatic transmission

I dont understand why the driver let go of the gas, it felt so sweeeeeeeet...

But then again we were in a cruise with about 25 other cars, so we could not just leave them behind.

Sick car, beat my friends v12 bi-turbo S600 modded... Beat a Lambo.... beat all the M3/M5/M6... lol it was a fun ride I must tell you, that car was sick and STIFF!
