hey guys just changed my oil to Royal Purple after hearing such god things about it.

So I started the engine up after the change and after a couple minutes I hit the gas just a little and noticed a weird sound. Its like air pushing or something just as you hit the gas pedal. Almost sounds like a squeek?very fast and brief noise. I've never noticed this sound before and am now just paranoid somethings wrong after I changed the oil. No idea what I could have done wrong.....

has this always been there and am I just hearing it for the first time... :frown:

Dos this happe if you sharply hit the gas, especially if in nuetral or park?

yes. I had my buddy hit the gas for me after we had it running for a couple mins and it made the noise.... asked him to do it again and I heard it. Then I closed the lid and got in the car myself and hit the gas to see if I could hear it from there and I could... I have never noticed it before.

Oh then I put it in 1st and reverse and releasing the clutch and hit the gas sharply still heard it

Very strange... Just check to be sure there are no leaks (around the filter and drain plug) and that the fluid is at the correct level. If everything is good I would say your oil change has nothing to do with the noise. Good luck.

Welcome to your engine being quiet enough to hear the air intake, I'd imagine.
