If you don't mind me asking...how the splitter works?

cali yaris

hey Kaeon, yes Tanabe DF210's, I think it settled a little LOL

Well a "real" splitter goes farther back under the engine (at least on the racecars I've been able to look under, this one is only 4-5"). The idea is to speed up air passage under the car (diffuser is what helps in the back), creating a vacuum which "sucks" the car to the ground for better traction.

Also, the lower the car, the less air gets under there in the first place.

Love the theme, black and white looks great. Headlights are pimp on someone elses car, just not for me. Decals are overkill IMO. I just can't get behind the front of the kit. I love the splitter, but it looks like there are 4 layers of stuff on the front...

ok LOVE the headlights... I am guessing you did not use nightshades, because that is what Chino used, and that is not what his looked like.... I am purchasing new headlights and doing this as well for the all blacked out look (who would have guessed that from me) it will also let me have a spare set or lamps to HID projector retro... but I have a slightly different look in mind than the others have done so far, all I have to say is fiberglass

any more details on the headlights? They look KILLER.

Nice ride - especially LOVE your rims. Any problems at all?

cali yaris
10-01-2007, 02:40 AM
no problems with the rims. A little rubbing on hard bumps at high speed, but that's ok.

The headlights are done with transparent paint, not overlays. I'll ask the body shop what they used and post up again.

Interesting opinion...everyone is allowed theirs of course, but if you have been around for a while you would know anyway that Garm's car is constantly evolving and is a shining example of what you can do. His car is tasteful, yet pulls a lot of looks I am sure.

I would love to see the most recent salvo of pictures if Garm will post them, plus a video or two of street driving or track. :w00t:
