I'm looking for a new head unit / receiver for my 07 LB. Features I want are a front aux in and a USB port or SD slot OR both. I also want a rear aux input so I can keep the stock aux jack. The screen has to make sense for a unit that will be used to browse directory structures (like in SD cards and USB flash drives). I've been looking at Crutchfield since I'd prefer to purchase from them with my Sony financial account. I have found a couple of possible units so far:
Blaupunkt Memphis MP66

Eclipse AVN2210p
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?showAll=Y&i=099AVN2210
JVC KW-XG700
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?showAll=Y&i=105KWGX700
Blaupunkt Melbourne SD27
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?showAll=Y&i=023MELBOUR
Anyone have any experience with any of these units? Which would you recommend?

I recently installed the Clarion DUZ385SAT (Double-DIN) which I purchased on E-Bay for $120. The unit has built in IPOD control and supports the XM radio mini-tuner which I also installed and purchased on E-Bay for about $40. The IPOD and XM Tuner fit very nicely in the small driver's side storage compartment.

Um, this is a no brainer. Only one comes with a removable TomTom. WIN!

Alpine is coming out with something that connects XM to the iTune store. It's sounds really cool, Check out Alpines site for more info. By the way I have a Pioneer4900 with ipod control and it is great.

I like your 2nd and 3rd choice. The 3rd choice looks like something the car should come stock with, from the factory!
I have Pioneer's DEH-P5900IB. It's simple, and nice.

I've got a JVC-AV810. I love it. Here's a couple of pics. Excuse the nite shot. I didn't use a tripod.

That is SOO sweet bikegerm! I was considering something similar but went the cheap way out...largely because I was worried about someone harming my baby (my car) to get to that unit. If I were to install something like that I would have so install some sort of James Bondish electrified perimeter, flamethrowing defense alarm system.

Wow, I completely forgot about this thread.
I ended up going through a number of head units. First the JVC XG-700 DD unit. Was ok, but wasn't thrilled with the red only backlighting. Also, didn't like the front-mounted USB port after awhile. Returned that and tried the Alpine iDA-X001. It was OK, but within the 30 day return period for it the Alpine iDA-X100 became available so I picked that one up.
The iDA-X100 was nice, but it wouldn't work properly with my 3rd gen. Nano. The Nano wouldn't turn off once the head unit was turned off. Also, I wanted a steering wheel or stalk type remote and Alpine doesn't have any of those.
I finally settled on the Sony CDX-GT920U. It's a great HU and I like the pig-tail, rear-mounted USB port. Sony's RM-X4S stalk remote is really convenient too. I mounted that on the same side as the wiper stalk on the steering column.
I went with the Alpine PDX 4.100 amp, Infinity Kappa 60.7CS component set for the front, Infinity Kappa 63.7 coax set for the rear and a self powered Kenwood sub which I put under the driver seat.
All of that is gone though. Left it in the three door LB I traded in for this five door LB.

If you are going to spend that much on a deck, might as well spend the extra 50-100$ to get a jensen dvd flipout deck wayyy better or if you wanna go even better get the alpine flipout deck

Jensen = Advent = Audiovox (which in French means Sound F*ck). Audiovox is so bad Wal-Mart doesn't even sell them anymore! Stay away from them whenever possible. Did you know that many RCA prodcuts are really Audiovox products?

You're recommending a Jensen over a Pioneer?
