Don't be fooled by Jolt Yellow. In reality it's pretty much the same colour as a post-it note.

i saw and sat in a white 5 door the interior is sick man, the fabric i mean it like black and grey not black and blue anymore. It even had CC and satelite radio. The new ones no joke the sticker was like 16,500 though. Still nice

I've seen all of the 09 LB colors now, and the yellow is the only one that is waaaaaaayyyy off. I had seriously considered it and now am mighty glad that I went with blazing blue...

Here are the photos of the Jolt Yellow I took last week at Dick Dyer Toyota in Columbia, SC. I had posted them previously, but they were obviously lost. Yep, about the color of a post it note. Nothing like the bright yellow pictured in the brochure. It is a flat color like the white and the absolute red. No metallic or pearl or mica. It's automatic with power package (no alloys).

The total MSRP is $16,158. $13005 auto base + $699 toyoguard + $110 fogs + $169 carpet mats + $1400 power package + $775 destination = $16158.

Don't like the look of the new front and rear bumpers looks like the 1st Gen Yaris/Echo but, hopefully with the 5door here we can get the TS in the US market.

I got my polar white 5-door LB yesterday. My dealer had a polar white 5-door S LB and a non S. I don't like the looks of the S's bumper. I also have no need for a tach..

I like that they've finally added an indicator on the instrument panel that tells you what gear you're in. With my 3-door LB (which I traded in for this 5-door), I and some of my family almost backed into walls when we accidentally put it in reverse instead of drive. That stopped of course after we got used to the gated shifter, but still it's nice to know w/o having to look down at the shifter.

It's also nice that the doors aren't so long.

I have an 08 LB automatic and it tells you on the dash what gear you are in. It is to the right of the gas guage and over the odometer. The letters light up, P, R, D, 3, etc. Now in the Blazing Blue manual there is no indication as to what gear you are in on the dash, but I have never seen a manual with a gear indicator light, but it would be helpful.

Toyota sales asked me if I wanted to trade for new 09. Said, I don't think so. Bumpers and lights turned me off in addition to the new price. However, congrats to all coming over to the Yaris side.

It definitely will. The only differences between the 08 and 09 are in plastic - No sheet metal was changed. On the exterior, the front bumper, rear bumper, head lights and tail lights are all slightly or significantly different, but the rear hatch, roof, hood, etc. are identical.

I have seen a couple of 09's around here, I like the spoiler that they added. Much better than the 08 OEM spoiler! I'm prolly gonna buy that spoiler and install it on my 08.

They never do. Remember when i first started learning stick this would throw me off and cause me to doubt myself... ie. i wasnt confident i knew which gear i was in and always over-worried myself abt that doubt. lol.

now, i cant imagine ever caring...

i just set my hand on the shift and i instinctively can tell which gear im in. even if i didnt and doubted, say, whether i was in 3rd or 5th... a split second check at my speed and the rpms will make it very obvious.

but i guess that just comes w/ experience (doesnt take long to get used to at all i dont think after you've learned to drive manuals)

What makes you think the 5-door LB is "slower" than the 3-door LB? I don't feel a difference. Could be because I have the alloy wheels on this 5-door though and on the 3-door I had the steel wheels.

Curb weight is identical for 3 and 5 door with auto. 3 door Manual is probably a bit faster, as it weighs 45 lbs less.

How much more do the steel wheels weigh compared to the alloy wheels? That would make a difference / cancel out the weight of the two extra doors right?

Hahah... I doubt it. We're talking about under a hundred pounds total. ...in a car that puts what, something like 90-ish horsepower to the ground? :) "Fast" is a relative term.

Can't wait to get my Yellow 2dr Hatchback. Hopefully I can at least order it before the end of the year.

Yellow, and my salesman said that Yellow was a rare color.

To me the "S" front end treatment doesn't work with light colors. It looks like part of the front air dam has been broken off.

Funny how the base 4-door LB is more expensive than the sedan. I'll take the sedan for the extra 4" wheelbase.

I just saw the Yellow one a few days ago and I am seriously considering trading my 07 Blazing Blue LB for it... it's just too cute and it's a great color to me!
