You're(anyone's) NUTS if you pay that for a muffler and tip.

Yeah, that's a bit pricey. I guess becuase it just came out. Just wanted to point that, this is a Yaris specific Tanabe out there. It's listed on Tanabe's website now for the hatchback.

It is claiming 5-15 hp... which is it? If it gives you 5, it isn't worth it, but if it gives you 15... 25 bucks a horsie isn't bad. 15 from a muffler and a little piping sounds impossible though.

you guys are looking at that pic the website. The concept G and Medallion touring will be similar except for differnt mufflers. Those are not available yet, because if they are, I would be selling them already :)

Exhaust (or any performance part) manufacturers base their claims on modification levels. So, the part above gains an estimated 5 hp (with little or no other modifications) to 15 hp (very heavily modified). To get the 15 hp, you would need a long (and expensive) list of other mods that directly complement the exhaust and its performance- at that point, I don't think you'd be as worried about the cost of the muffler, but on the flipside, custom exhaust work would probably be of better benefit to you, anyway.
