Ok, well I shipped Bambo off to Steve(SailDesign) today.. but before I did, I drove him down to San Diego, right across the freeway way Camp Pendleton, theres a gorgeous vista point where you can park and feed seagulls and look at the ocean...

What all tourists do. Buy up big tax free. I bought 2 litres of Bacardi and some aftershave as well as a Betty Boop handbag for mum (she's a huge fan). My wife bought up big on fragrances too.

I like the shopping down there, we went there on our honeymoon and had to go back. The only thing I don't like is being hassled by every shopkeeper to come in and have a look.

No rental car. We drive on the left hand side of the road here in Aus with the steering wheel on the right hand side. We thought it best not to drive whilst in USA as you all drive on the wrong side of the road and from the passenger seat :tongue:

We went down there by Greyline Coach America. It's a safe tour. I remember passing the Dolly Parton monument on the way...... (nuke power plant that looks like a set of tits with nipples on top (near camp pendleton) :biggrin:

Assuming he arrives on time, he'll be in the Yaris for the Cape Cod Courageous Old Timer's Rally. Not a real WRX-style rally, more of a scavenger hunt around Cape Cod - winner is the one who travels the least miles. GPS and hand-held Streets&Trips not permitted.

Originally it was 2 weeks maximum per user. But i see no problem having the little guy for 2-3 weeks as long as you post enough photo's of him. But having him for more than 3 weeks is too much as there are heaps of users waiting to have him visit.

And here is a view of more of Jamestown - one of the "Summer Cottages" that adorn the cliffs here and in Newport. This one was built by Joseph Wharton (as in the Wharton Business School) in 1884, and is still in the family.
One of the local lobster boats is out on the bay pulling pots, with the required escort of seagulls to make sure nothing gets wasted. Very eco-conscious birds.....

Yeah, Wetherill is great. I usually go there on my morning bike rides, just to ride along the cliff-top where Bambo is so I get some rocks and roots in for the day. That or out to Beavertail Lighthouse.

Well, here are the final set of pics form Jamestown. I haven't figured out how to get text between the pics, so:
Pic 1 is Bambo on the roof of the new car, taking a look at Bonnet Shores, across the west side of the Bay from Beeavertail.
P:ic 2 is the lighthouse behind Bambo, while
Pic 3 shows what B is looking at in pic 2. The waves, the ocean, and taking deeeep breaths of sea air. It's a great place to sit in the morning, just soaking in the sun.

wow. that's a pretty cool bowl! Actually I was making a mold for a lamp shade. It didn't turn out well because i can;t paint worth a damn!

Tonight Bambo met our favorite family pet, Pepper the Rabbit. Pepper is litterbox trained and has run of the house -- pretty cool pet, really.

I had a friend who had a litter-trained rabbit. It had this quirk where it would ONLY stay on carpet. So, whenever they went someplace they had this 4x5 area rug they put in the kitchen with its food, water and litter box and it stayed there the entire time. When they were home, she was brought into the living room to be with the family.

I'm not sure what his "exact" problem is, but if anyone should be annoyed at anyone it should be me at Garm who said he was coming to the meet and greet while I was over in Jan 09 and then didn't turn up. Hey waldo.

P.s. This is meant to be a friendly thread, i'm only telling how it is as Treyz asked. There is no need to harp on about this. If anyone wants to pm me if there is an issue, i'm up for it.

Actually, my wife and I "did" Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood last night. I wanted to take Bambo as a last outing. I didn't, since Mad Dog told me to get on with it. I don't think I should have to make a case for keeping him a few days longer, but for those coming up, if you're keeping him longer than a week, you probably should explain why.

Originally it was 2 weeks maximum per user. But i see no problem having the little guy for 2-3 weeks as long as you post enough photo's of him. But having him for more than 3 weeks is too much as there are heaps of users waiting to have him visit.

well i am gonna argue the one week thing... the most recent information that i can find about time with bambo is approx 2 - 3 weeks, so that is my argument...

now i will state that i was giving garm a hard time about days with no pics, but that was where i left it... i understand that you may have had some stuff coming up that would have been cool, and i think that *most* of us would have understood if there were some good pics...

NemesisZ became unreachable after the hack so I volunteered to take over running this thread as I Bambo at the time of the hack. As for the thread, before the hack, Nemesiz had a list of rules and taking a pic with Bambo was one of them I recall, but hey, I'm not complaining at all.

And I'm not complaining about when he was going to get to me. As long as I'm not skipped on the list (which I wasn't), I'm good. All I know is that he's gonna be busy when Bambo gets here.

And one last question ... I know the shirt says Bambo, but are we calling him Bambo as in Rambo, but with a "B" or Bamboo? I always associated the panda with what it eats lol.

No class ... he chilled in the car with DJ Domo. It was painting (yeah apparently I'm not done with my studio work for Graphic Design) and knowing Bambo, acrylic would be all over him.

We went to Buffalo Wild Wings last night. Unfortunately the pictures of him and the girls I wanted didn't happen. Mia and Catherine (girls on the GT-R pics) had left early thinking I left already (went home because I forgot the memory card for the camera, but came back in a matter of 15 minutes).
