Today Gerry and I hooked up at his shop to spec out the build of his Jet Stream CAI kit for the Yaris. Next visit in 2-3 weeks once parts have been fabricated.

I truly hope this works out. Being involved in this nature of product development is new to me. I am thrilled to be playing a role in potentially bringing an after-market product offering to the Yaris community.

Stay tuned.

Just got a message from Gerry.

He dyno'd the Honda Fit last night with the recently developed Jetstream intake - made 5 hp & 5 ftlbs of torque to the wheels.

I should be test fitting the Yaris prototype next weekend.

Stay tuned.

That's a very impressive improvement. In these days of ultra efficiency it's hard to believe that Honda would leave that much power on the table. :iono:
Maybe Honda's F1 team could use their help to get back on the pace. :eyebulge:

The black thing on the end is the filter housing. K&N style (oiled cotton gauze) filter is inside it.

could you just buy the black thing?

As I am only the donor vehicle for development of the prototype, I cannot speak to piecing the parts out.

It sounds like ppl are interested in taking this filter design and attaching it to existing intake pipes. What I can tell you is that the filter housing is 6 1/4" long, attached to a silicone reducer to match pipe diameter, for a total length of 8 1/2". For many intakes on the market today, the pipe would have to be chopped down, which would probably mean interferring with the MAF mount, or losing a required bend on the throttle body side.
