Like the title says. Most mods as well as parts for the sedan are different. I hate having to use the search bar every day to look for stuff. Why not have a seperate section so we can just click on the link for sedan to look at stuff. I was on the acura legend forums before when i was into my legend and they have a g1 and g2 section since parts and mods were different.
What do you guys think. Now is the perfect time since while were fixing up the forum back to the way it was why not make a few changes for the better

my problem with this is that most mods for sedans are for parts that work on both sedans and lbs so i feel like it would end up being two threads for the same thing.... maybe a section for things that are sedan only though (although at this point it would be a pretty empty section)

Why not?
Front and back are different.

Dosnt have to be multiple sections just like a sedan only section. That could even be the name of the section lol. So everyone sedan. From exterior cosmetic mods to interior mods. Sedan only performance mods like exhausts etc.

Well it benifits lb just as much as sedans too. You guys dont have to browse over the sedan posts unless you choose to read them now.

I wish the designers of the yaris saw that way. I heard there were 2 seperate teams that designed the lb and sedan. Which i guess that is why the lb has so many neat compartments. And the sedan has fewer. I want to take a saw and cut a hold in the front of my steering wheel and put a hinge on it so i can be the same =)

There is no good reason why people need to try to seperate the two models. No matter what emblem you put on it, it's always going to be exactly the same model it was when you bought it. Sure there are Vitz and Vios in some parts of the world but that doesn't change the fact that a US Yaris sedan is a Yaris and a US Yaris hb is a Yaris.

To those posting above:
I think since most parts DO NOT FIT both USDM models, WE as sedan owners would like a place to dictate which parts fit the sedan. It's not that we want to separate ourselves from the LB's. Many car manufacturers don't have aftermarket parts that fir coupes and four door models. Look at nissan maxima,
and subaru wagons and sedans. Although some parts fit both, not all do.

I'm pretty sure both models have the same drivetrain, so really when it comes to performance, exhaust midpipes are really the only thing that is incompatible, right?
If that's the case, it would seem silly for that part of the forum, as it's a bit redundant, but cosmetic mod section for sedans only would be nice. I'd welcome it! Some times it's good to look over the fence at the other models. The grass seems greener at times! (Esp. Kaotic's car, lol)

LOL, I get a shout-out. Thanks Gid.
But yeah, suspension and engine parts are all the same, and the only things that I can think of that are different are the exhaust from the midpipe on back, and interior and exterior parts. We actually had a sedan only exterior thread that was a sticky prior to the hack. A lot of research was put into that...damn hackers.

Actually many parts are different, like the x-brace that caliyaris sells, suspension parts. etc.
Ah forget it, i'll just keep my parts list to myself, and let everyone else search for compatibilities on their own, since that seems to be the general consensus.
Well since people dont want the forums to be segragated (which I believe would just be more organized and easier to find if there WERE a seperate forums) we could start adding tags to the title if its model specific. The tags would either be [Liftback] for LB specific threads or [Sedan] for well of course the sedan.
Examples:
[Sedan] Aftermarket Exhaust
[Liftback] C-One front bumpber
Mods could help out by editing titles with the tags as well. This can help users find model specific threads easier without having seperate forums.

I think in terms of the suspension, only parts in the rear (interior), such as the said X-brace and rear shock bars would be different. I think every other suspension part is interchangeable.

Sounds like a plan!

I dunno, seems to be quite a bit of LB haters towards sedan owners. It would make things easier. I don't know why LB owners get their panties in a bunch. I love both models, and am even considering getting a LB, from a parts availability standpoint.

That is true, but I take no offense. My family and friends don't like the LB's, but I personally like both models.
