Why am I being accused of being the hacker? lol that is very mystifying..I just joined a few weeks ago...what is the deal? Dude, I did not hack this site i would never do that. i just wanted to talk yaris then it got hacked and i offered to help sinc ei do IT...why are the moderators now saying i am the hacker? can you understand why this would be puzzling??

Starting to blame members for the hack is not cool,looking over jimtevin's posts i dont see anything to suggest he is responsible and nothing to indicate he is caveatipse who may or may not have had anything to do with the hack either.
eTiMaGo if you know something the rest of us dont about jimtevin's actions i think you should let us know or at least not participate in unfounded accusations toward a fellow member,you are one of the moderators i'd suggest a higher standard in moderating.

Simple. It is easy to get any IP from any website if you have the tools.

It is possible we are paranoid, but we've become well-accustomed to that jerk's peculiar style of writing, and "jimtevin"s posts have just been raising red flags. I'd be happy to be proven wrong though.

just as a heads up there are plugins for Firefox that can get the info that this guy was saying that he could access. This was proven in the Certified Ethical Hacker class. I am not standing up for anyone, just advising on how some of the wonder crap works. I haven't been around due to getting ready to head overseas.

Looking over jimtevans 18 posts i dont see anything that would make me think he is in some way responsible for our hacked site or if he is the vanquished caveatipse,i'm just thinking that if he is an innocent bystander/member he is probably not too happy with his treatment on this forum.

I don't know any of the history about these Caveatipse and VPCORPS people, but I respect you guys' judgement.

One thing that does bother me though are baseless accusations & paranoia. I started a thread yesterday and another member pretty much accused me of being VPCORPS (again, I don't even know who that is.) It would be a shame if this is they way things are going to pan out (newer members being labeled as douchebags because an older member doesn't like what they have to say.)

everyday we get on average 10 new members and you don't see us going after them , you know why because they do not show the symptoms of Caveatispe disease.

Captavise Disease

Captavise Disease is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a mental disorder characterized by abnormalities in the perception or expression of reality. It most commonly manifests as auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions, or disorganized speech and thinking with significant social or occupational dysfunction.

Onset of symptoms typically occurs in young adulthood, it is an extremely rare disease with only one person diagnosed. Diagnosis is based on the patient's inability to act like a normal human on a forum, espicially car forums. Can be mistaken for a forum troll, but really are much worse.

If found on a forum regular treatment includes blocking his ISP address. This is generally overcome by him going to a different internet cafe and starting a new account with a new name. But after a short time and a few posts the same stupid words come out again and are a complete give away as to who the new member is.

Captavise Disease is strongly believed to be associated with multi personality disorder as he's had many different names. There is no medical evidence to suggest this is the case as he has to change his name to reappear on the forum as just coming back as Captavise is not an option.

Currently there is no medical form of treatment except sterilisation and or castration.

not joining the bandwagon to say this guy is the hacker but the only place the IP registers is on the computer hosting the forum or in the forum program. The IP is usally captured by the forum board program and displayed only to the admins. A typical user's machine would have no way of knowing or scanning the IP unless they had access to the forum as an admin. IP addresses are captured by the Host machine and are only stored there. There is no way someone as a user of a forum can see any posters IP. It doesn't work that way.
