I have this problem where every 3 months I have a headlight blow out...It seems that every time I drive more than 200 miles at a time I loose a headlight. Can anyone provide some insight? This is getting expensive! I even use a small bit of bulb grease ever time I change them!

Shouldn't this be a warrent issue if they go out so often.
I know they won't replace the bulb itself, but if there is a problem with the wiring???

... the brighter the light bulb the shorter the lifespanThat is simply NOT true. I've been running 100 W. halogen lights for the last 25 years (in vehicles that came stock with 55 w. bulbs) and never had a short lifespan problem.
A short life in any halogen light is most commonly caused by a bad ground, by low voltage, or by excessive vibration. Examine all connections for dirty or corroded connections. You'll need a volt/ohm meter to check things out electrically. They're cheap, at $15 for basic models, or borrow one.
Maybe your/the mechanic's hands are always oily at the moment of bulb install? That's a pretty common bulb killer.

good point...but not sooooo recently that it would be a culprit...I mean would contact with water blow it out right away? I always use gloves and bulb grease when I install...No, I don't put the grease on the bulb ...just the connector...I use silverstar ultras....maybe I'll try a different brand to see if that is the reason

"bulb grease"??? I've never heard of that... Does the bulb manufacturer recommend it? Maybe try installation without it.
