Was looking at the Belta as compared to the Yaris Sedan.
I noticed the Belta has the side markers just in front of the door.
Also looks like the US liftback has these as well.
Wonder why Toyota left them off the Yaris Sedan?
Im actually glad they did, Looks cleaner imo.

Good observation! My HB does have them.

My HB has them too, but I actually perfer them due to the fact that people can see your turn signal (I think they blink when the turn signal is on). I'll have to check

In closer observation, I noticed that the headlights are different, maybe the reason the US Sedan does not have them is the amber turn signal wraps around to the side of the car. Looks a bit different on the US hatch and the Belta. Guess I notice non issue things sometimes, lol.

I would actually like to have the head lights off the Belta than the ones we have on our Sedan...I like clear corners....I want to ditch the Amber.

I totally agree, the clear looks much better.

Trouble is that it "appears" that the Belta HLs are a different size than what we have on the Sedan....am I wrong or do peeps agree?

with a little image resizing, cut, paste and photoshop, I think the HLs are the same size, I could be wrong, but all the lines where the body panels meet are in the same places. The proportions also look the same to me.:iono:

interesting photochop  though, i can't figure out if y'all got an answer to whether or not the lights are interchangeable from the belta.

Also, i'm looking for a set of sidemarkers and I'm wondering if the Belta sidemarkers are the same as the USDM Yaris sidemarkers. Maybe they have a different texture..since the USDM look kinda odd up close, and aren't taking transparent tint spray" very well.

At the risk of complicating the matter, I wish to point out that the headlights on my Canadian HB (which has side markers already) also have the amber stripes that can be seen from the two sides.

Well you just complicated things, way to go:laugh:

Anyway, I don't see how the JDM and the USDM Belta/Yaris sedan lights can't be interchangable but maybe you would have to go with different wiring, I don't think Toyota would go to so much trouble for headlights when importing a car, I think by law the cars side markers have to be amber...but I do agree with you guys, I like the clear as well, it gives it a clean cut look to it, I guess that's why I see aftermarket clear or white turn signals which I'm not sure if they're legal (U.S.), but they look cool.

They are legal as long as they light up amber. They get away with this with the amber bulbs and white lenses versus the amber lenses and whit bulbs. I agree that the white lenses look better.
